PRESS RELEASE – “Mr. Wrestling” Steve Corino promises to win the TWA Heavyweight
Championship on the TWA TOTS FOR TOTS SHOW, December 5th,
Williamstown,
New Jersey.
Some know
Steve Corino as
“The King of Old School.” Others know him as
“Mr. Wrestling.” But if you ask
Corino and his manager, Rob Dimension,
there is an even more apporpiate moniker for Corino, and that is “Champ!” While
not the most modest individuals, one can hardly argue with the duo’s
assessment. “To tell you the truth, I’ve won so many titles in my 15 year
career, I’ve lost count,” Corino recently said in a meeting with the
Tri-State Wrestling
Alliance (TWA). “If you
don’t believe me, check out my long championship resume on my web page (click
here
http://www.corinowrestling.com/TitleHistory.html). It’s what I
do; I win titles. I've made a career out of it. I’m like a collector.”
Currently, Corino holds championships for four different
wrestling organizations, including
World-1*.
Some of the most notable championships he has won in the past include the
Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW)
World Heavyweight Title, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Heavyweight
Title, the American Wrestling Alliance (AWA) World Heavyweight Title, the World
Wrestling Council (WWC) Universal Heavyweight Title and many, many more.
“It doesn’t matter whether you like us or not, you can’t argue with success and
the facts,” Dimension added.
“I defy anyone to name a professional wrestler who has won more different pro
wrestling championships than Steve Corino!”
For Corino, the TWA
Heavyweight Title would be a nice addition to his collection,
especially since he has said many times that he was a huge TWA fan as a teenager
and the promotion was one of his inspirations to become a professional wrestler
in the first place. Plus Corino especially loves winning “old school”
championships. But winning the TWA Heavyweight Title on December 5th
will not be an easy task. First, Corino will have to outlast a ring full of
hungry competitors who all want a shot at the TWA Heavyweight Title before he
would even be able to step into the ring with
the Champion “The Beast” Glen Osbourne.
Osbourne will not go down easy for anyone, as he is a veteran and has a strength
advantage over Corino. Plus, Corino also has a scheduled match with another
powerhouse on the Decemember 5th card, Shane Harris. But looking at his track record, Corino has to
be considered a major threat to the TWA Heavyweight Title in
Williamstown,
New Jersey, just two weeks away.
Will Corino
increase the number of his current championship reigns to five? Come out to the
TWA on December 5th to find out!
