Marcus “Big Baby†Jones (4-1-0) vs. Matt Mitrione (0-0-0)
Marcus Jones will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but was a member of the cast for the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10. Marcus Jones is a veteran of the World Fighting Championships promotion, where he defeated Will Mora and suffered a defeat to Daniel Perez. Of his five professional fights, none have gone past the first round for Marcus Jones, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Marcus Jones will be entering the fight on a two fight winning steak and hasn’t lost a fight in well over a year. Marcus Jones will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with three victories coming by knockout. Matt Mitrione will not only be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he will also be making his professional MMA debut in this fight. Matt Mitrione was also a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10, where a rivalry with Marcus Jones began after he accidentally injured Marcus Jone’s friend, Scott Junk, with an eye poke.

Frankie “The Answer†Edgar (10-1-0) vs. Matt Veach (11-0-0)
Frankie Edgar has had a successful run in the UFC, defeating Tyson Griffin, Mark Bocek, Spencer Fisher, Hermes Franca and Sean Sherk, while suffering a lone loss to Gray Maynard. Frankie Edgar was also a veteran of the Reality Fighting promotion, where he holds a victory over UFC veteran Jim Miller. Frankie Edgar will be entering the fight on a two fight winning streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over a year. Frankie Edgar, along with Gray Maynard and Tyson Griffin, is considered to be a top contender for the UFC Lightweight Championship. Frankie Edgar is known for taking fights the distance, with six of his career victories coming by decision. Matt Veach made his UFC debut at UFC Ultimate Fight Night 17, where he defeated Matt Grice by TKO with punches. Matt Veach is a veteran of the Iowa Challenge promotion, where he defeated Marcus Hermann and Edgar Wade. Matt Veach will be entering the fight with an eleven fight undefeated streak, which has currently lasted over three years. Of his eleven professional fights, only one has gone to a decision for Matt Veach, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Matt Veach will be looking to put the fight on the ground, with six previous victories coming by way of submission.

Kevin “Kimbo Slice†Ferguson (3-1-0) vs. Houston “The Assassin†Alexander (9-4-0)
Kevin Ferguson will be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he was a cast member on the most recent season of the UFC Ultimate Fighter. Kevin Ferguson had fought all of his past MMA fights in the Elite XC promotion, where he defeated Tank Abbott, James Thompson and Bo Cantrell, while suffering a lone defeat to Seth Petruzelli. It has been well over a year since Kevin Ferguson last fought in a professional MMA fight, so conditioning could become a factor. Of his four professional MMA fights, none have gone to a decision for Kevin Ferguson, which speaks to his finishing abilities. Kevin Ferguson will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with all of his victories coming by knockout. Houston Alexander has had an unsuccessful run in the UFC, with victories over Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara, while suffering defeats to James Irvin, Thiago Silva and Eric Schaffer. Houston Alexander most recently fought in the Adrenaline MMA promotion, where he defeated UFC veteran Sherman Pendergarst. It has been over two years since Houston Alexander achieved a victory in the UFC, with his last UFC victory coming at UFC 75 over Alessio Sakara. Houston Alexander will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout.

Matt Hamill has had a successful run in the UFC, defeating Jesse Forbes, Seth Petruzelli, Rex Holman, Tim Boetsch, Reese Andy and Mark Munoz, while suffering defeats to Michael Bisping and Rich Franklin. Matt Hamill has only fought once outside of the UFC, defeating Robert Hitte at an Xtreme Fighting Organization event in 2005. To this day, Matt Hamill has been the only hearing impaired fighter to ever have a professional MMA fight in the UFC. Matt Hamill will be entering this fight on a two fight winning streak and hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Matt Hamill will be looking to use his ground and pound skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout. Jon Jones is an undefeated fighter who has defeated Andre Gusmao, Stephan Bonnar and Jake O’Brien in UFC competition. Jon Jones will be entering the fight with a nine fight undefeated streak, which has currently lasted over a year. Jon Jones started off his MMA career in interesting fashion, competing four times in under a month in four different MMA promotions, from April 2008 to May 2008. In total, Jon Jones had competed seven times in 2008, with only one of those fights going to a decision victory. Jon Jones will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with five victories coming by way of knockout.

Roy “Big Country†Nelson (13-4-0) vs. Brendan Schaub (4-0-0)
Roy Nelson will be making his UFC debut in this fight, as he was a cast member of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10 reality show. Roy Nelson was a veteran of the International Fight League promotion, where he defeated Vince Lucero, Shane Ott, Bryan Vetell, Antoine Jaoudane, Fabiano Scherner and Brad Imes, while suffering a lone defeat to Ben Rothwell. Roy Nelson will be entering this fight on a two fight losing streak, recently suffering defeats to UFC veterans Andrei Arlovski and Jeff Monson. Roy Nelson achieved his first professional MMA career victory over Bo Cantrell, who is the first person UFC Ultimate Fighter 10 cast member Kevin Ferguson defeated in his professional MMA debut. Roy Nelson will be looking to use his striking skills to win the fight, with six victories coming by knockout. Brendan Schaub will also be making his UFC debut in this fight, but was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10. Brendan Schaub is a veteran of the Ring Of Fire promotion, where he defeated Jay Lester, Alex Rozman and Bojan Spalevic.
