FORCE 1 WRESTLING RESULTS FROM NEW JERSEY by Mike Johnson @ 12:47 PM on 2/7/2010
orce-1 relaunched January 29, with new talent and a solid showing, proving
they are a new force in the wrestling world.
* DJ Hyde def. The Phoenix
With The Phoenix distracted by Kevin Cunningham, DJ Hyde connected with a
devastating lariat to win. After the match, Cunningham stated “I know who
Phoenix is…and later tonight, I will prove Phoenix IS NONE OTHER THAN RV1!”
* Diego Demarco def. Niles Young
In a strong back and forth match-up, Diego scored a victory with a roll up.
Afterwards, the two competitors shock hands in a display of sportsmanship.
* The Monster Squad (Big Bear Borselli/Anthony Graves) vs. Mighty Moe/Geoff
Jeffries went to a No Contest
The Monster Squad ambushed Moe and Geoff in the ring, leaving them beaten and
battered, The Monster Squad declared, "WE ARE THE MONSTER SQUAD…we will destroy
ANYONE who steps in our way. And you can take that...to the GRAVE!"
Watch the
Squad’s antics after the match.
* RV1/Rich Swann def. Kevin Cunningham/Johnny Calzone, The Dirty Bastards (Joe
Gacy/Ryan Slater), & Team Lancelot in a Four Corner Lucha Scramble
The insane action was matched by Cunningham’s irate tirade after being pinned by
RV1, who said he would do ANYTHING to get The Phoenix in the ring and prove he
is really RV1. Force-1 Commissioner Emil J granted the wish: On February 20,
Kevin Cunningham will face in The Phoenix is a Hair vs. Mask I QUIT MATCH!
* F1 Heritage Title Match: Nicky Benz def. “Hybrid” Josh Adams via Count-Out
unifying the F1 Junior Heavyweight and F1 Iron League Titles
To declare the first Force-1 Heritage Title by unifying two titles, the focus
was put on wrestling by extending the count-out to 20 and allowing a title
change on a count-out or DQ. Benz outlasted Adams to hold the new championship.
* F1 Heavyweight Title, Elimination Match: Sami Callihan def. Sabian, Ophidian,
and Ryu Lee
Ophidian pinned Lee after a 450, Sabian tapped out Ophidian with an STF, and to
hold the vacant Force-1 Championship, Sami Callihan took out Sabian with a Neck
Crank submission.
Watch what
happened after the match when Commissioner Emil J asked Callihan his
thoughts on the F1 Title. As he answered, Joe Gacy and Ryan Slater came to the
ring and the three took out Emil J. Callihan threw the F1 Title into a trash can
declaring, “Force-1 is dead, this title is garbage. If there is anyone on the
roster who wants to step up to the challenge, come on out.” The ENTIRE locker
room emptied, prompting Callihan, Gacy, and Slater to high tail it out of the
ring with belt in tow.
Commissioner Emil J announced the F1 Heavyweight Title will be defending on
February 20 against a Mystery Opponent...to give Callihan no time to prepare.
