Next TWA Event is Sunday, April 11th at 2pm
at the FLYERS SKATE ZONE in
Voorhees, NJ
JUST ADDED...
Making his return to the TWA on April 11th is the
World's ONLY Wrestling, Break-dancing Robot,
SHOCKWAVE the ROBOT!!! If the fans in
attendance Jan 31st at the BODYSLAM AUTISM SHOW did
not know who SHOCKWAVE was before the event, then
they do now! SHOCKWAVE was a tremendous favorite
with the fans, who can't help but love his character
and energy. SHOCKWAVE was poppin', lockin' & robotn'
as he defeated "The Angry Pizza Man" Johnny
Calzone. He then proceeded to have some fans join
him in the ring for a victory dance. Who
will step in the ring next with SHOCKWAVE on April
11th? Stay tuned...
WHERE IS "THE BEAST?"
At BODYSLAM AUTISM, "The Beast" Glen
Osbourne lost the TWA Heavyweight
Championship in a Triple Threat Match with "Hitman"
Tony Steston to "Mr. Wrestling"
Steve Corino, managed by Rob Dimension.
After Osbourne chokeslammed Stetson, he knees gave
out as a result of Corina's tactics earlier in the
match and he needed to reach for the ropes to
maintain his balance. Cori no, the veteran and
opportunist he is, capitalized on the situation and
quickly covered Steston for the 1-2-3 and the
TWA Title, which is the 62nd
wrestling championship that Corino has
won during his career (note: In an earlier press
release we reported that Corino pinned Osbourne for
the title, which was not the case. We apologize for
the error).
The TWA was set to sign Osbourne vs. Corino for
April 11th, given Osbourne's right to a rematch upon
losing the championship, but Osbourne declined, only
saying he had a "previous personal commitment" for
that day. Therefore, the TWA Commissioner
Joel Goodhart granted the match to "Hitman"
Tony Stetson.
Stetson achieved a monumental goal when he returned
from retirement at the TWA REUNION SHOW 10/24/09 for
a last run despite his chronic injuries, but the TWA
Heavyweight Championship is one that eluded him
during his career. Add in the personal bad blood
between Corino and Stetson, and we have one heated
championship match coming our way. "This time
Steve, I got ya one on one," Stetson said during a
recent call to the TWA office. "Now that I've
returned from retirement it's time to set a new
goal, and that is the TWA Title. The jokes about my
age, Dimension's "letter," the cheapshots, etc don't
matter one bit...bottom line, Steve, on April 11th,
I'm gonna make a BELIEVE-er out of
you and Rob Dimension!"
