CZW returned to South Philly on Saturday night and as expected, tore the house down, leaving a path of carnage and destruction in it's wake. Among the casualties of Tangled Web 3 were the short lived title reign of Nick Gage, as Jon Moxley pinned Ego Fantastico to become new CZW Champion, and also perhaps the career of CZW Owner DJ Hyde, who suffered a number of injuries after a dramatic fall off a ladder in the Tangled Web Deathmatch. Let's take a look back at the quick results from last Saturday's TANGLED WEB 3!
1. Joe Ettel vs. Eric Enders went to a No Contest when Nick Gage interrupted and laid waste to both men.
2. JON MOXLEY defeated NICK GAGE and EGO FANTASTICO to become the new CZW World Heavyweight Champion
3. DREW GULAK defeated RYAN MCBRIDE to retain the CZW Wired Chamiponship
4. DANNY HAVOC defeated tHURTeen
5. THE OSIRIAN PORTAL defeated THE BEST AROUND to advance in the CZW World Tag Team Title Tournament
6. RUCKUS defeated AR FOX
7. PHILLY'S MOST WANTED (Sabian and Joker) defeated ADAM COLE and TYLER VERITAS to advance in the CZW World Tag Team Title Tournament
8. DEVON MOORE defeated DRAKE YOUNGER
9. SCOTTY VORTEKZ defeated BRAIN DAMAGE in a Ultraviolent Match
- Billy Gram returned to the Combat Zone and reclaimed Cult Fiction
10. DJ HYDE and GREG EXCELLENT defeated SAMI CALLIHAN and JOE GACY in the TANGLED WEB DEATHMATCH
- Joe Gacy turned on Sami Callihan after the match ended and beat down Callihan
- Also announced at the show was the date for September's CZW return, which is scheduled for a special FRIDAY NIGHT event, on September 10th at the Arena with an 8pm Belltime. The first match announced for September's "Down with the Sickness" event will be the return of the AERIAL ASSAULT match, and the first competitors announced are the returning CHUCK TAYLOR and RICOCHET!
- Also, CZWrestling.com has learned that DJ Hyde suffered substantial injuries in last night's main event. Following the Tangled Web Deathmatch, the CZW Owner was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for various injuries and held overnight for observation. CZWrestling.com will keep you updated on the condition of the CZW owner.
