- Today marks the 5th anniversary of the passing of Christopher “Chri$ Ca$h” Bauman. Chris was a CZW original, starting from the bottom as a student, and later becoming a full-time member of the CZW roster and more importantly, a cherished member of the Combat Zone family. To this day, the entire CZW locker room, staff, and management continues to share fond memories of Chris’ time both in and out of the ring, and as a part of our lives. Along with the Bauman family, we would like to invite you, and hope you will join us on FRIDAY, September 10th, at 8pm as we once again celebrate his life with the annual “Down with the Sickness” event. Chris, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten…
- The lineup for September 10th’s “Down with the Sickness” event is starting to take shape. Today on CZWrestling.com, we learned of the confirmation of another match to take place on the special Friday night event. In the opening round of the CZW World Tag Team Title Tournament, IRISH DRIVEBY (Rich Swann and Ryan McBride) will take on RWE’s TEAM MACKTION for the right to advance to the 2nd round! Who will take that big next step towards the top of the CZW Tag division? We will find out on FRIDAY September 10th in South Philly!
- As we have mentioned in recent updates here on CZWrestling.com, CZW Owner DJ Hyde’s inbox has been clogged lately with requests from competitors from around the world asking for their chance to make an impact in the Combat Zone. On Friday, September 10th, DJ Hyde has decided to grant the request of one certain world-class competitor who has vowed to not just make an impact, but to change the Combat Zone as we know it forever. On September 10th, that man will be JOHNNY GARGANO, and he will be in one-on-one action in the black and yellow ring. Who will step up to the plate and face Gargano? And, will Gargano have what it takes to survive in the Combat Zone? We’ll find out in South Philly!
