New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action this Saturday night, September 11 at the National Guard Armory, 1000 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA with a 7 PM bell time for the 2nd Annual NECW TAG TEAM CLASSIC.
Eight teams will compete in a single elimination tournament, with the winners going on to get a shot later that night against NECW Tag Team Champions, Rican Havoc.
Four teams in the tournament come from the current NECW roster: The G3 Network (“Gorgeous” Gino Giovanni and “Sensational” Scott Levesque) with Sammi Lane in their corner, “H2O” Ryan Waters & Matt Magnum, Da Hoodz (NECW Television Champion, “The Heat” Kris Pyro and “The Hi-Lite” Davey Cash) and “The Talent” T.J. Richter and Mr. Munroe with Mr. Mini-roe in their corner.
The final four teams are last year’s finalists, The Red Devil Fight Team (Mikhail Ivanov and Aleksander Chekov), Chicago’s Hellfire Symphony (The Great Malaki and Xavier DeFaust) with The Great Cheyenne, and two teams consisting of former NECW Tag Team Champions – The Logan Brothers and Canadian stars, The All Knighters (Robin Knightwing and Joey Knight).
In addition to the tournament matches, two other bouts are on tap including World Women’s Wrestling Champion, Alexxis Neveah defending her title against The Great Cheyenne.
