9/15 - CZW News and Notes: New Matches Signed for CZW's huge fall schedule!
It’s a busy day at CZWrestling.com. This afternoon, we received a number of big updates for our huge fall lineup of events, including our October 9th return to South Philly, our October 16th debut in Massachusetts, and our big debut in Germany on November 6th! Let’s review the breaking news…
At this past weekend’s event, CZW Owner DJ Hyde issued a challenge to former Ultraviolent Underground Champion THUMBTACK JACK for a rematch of their epic Tournament of Death encounter a year ago, to take place at CZW’s big debut in November in Oberhausen, Germany. The popular deathmatch icon has kept a low profile in the Combat Zone in 2010, but just moments ago, CZWrestling.com was able to confirm the rumors that Thumbtack Jack has accepted DJ Hyde’s challenge and will meet the boss on November 6th in a hardcore war! Can Thumbtack Jack step up to the plate one more time, this time on his home turf? Can Hyde overcome one of his greatest foes, in the name of the Combat Zone? We find out this fall in Germany!
Also at this past weekend’s “Down with the Sickness” event, fan favorite AR FOX seized a golden opportunity, emerging victorious after a breathtaking performance in the Chris Cash Aerial Assault Ladder Match. With his win, Fox became #1 contender to the CZW Junior Heavyweight Championship, and will get his chance for the gold on October 9th when he challenges ADAM COLE for the CZW Jr. Heavyweight gold! Can the high flying newcomer put an explanation point on an incredible summer? Can Cole send back another challenger? We’ll find out when CZW returns to South Philly!
CZW has a busy month of October. Not only do we return to South Philly on the second Saturday, but we also make our much anticipated debut in Massachusetts on Saturday, October 16th! This afternoon, CZWrestling.com has confirmed the first contest for our big invasion of Tyngsboro! The rivalry between the Suicide Kings and Cult Fiction will continue on that day when DANNY HAVOC goes one-on-one with the Cult’s tHURTeen in an Ultraviolent grudge match! Can Massachusetts handle the Ultraviolence? Who will come out on top with a statement victory in the Combat Zone’s most bitter rivalry? Be there on October 16th in Tyngsboro!
This Saturday, the friends and family of JC Bailey will hold a very special event to honor the memory of our fallen friend. The tribute show will be on Saturday, September 18th at 7pm at the Fountain Square Salvation Army Gym, located at 1337 S. Shelby Street in Indianapolis, Indiana. Admission to this event is free with a 10 dollar donation to help pay the costs for JC’s funeral and burial. Among those in attendance will include CZW’s own Drake Younger, Scotty Vortekz, Devon Moore, Danny Havoc, Brain Damage, and more. JC’s family thanks everyone in advance for their kind words and support during this trying time.
And finally, for those fans who can’t wait for October for more CZW action, this THURSDAY at 7pm at the CZW Arena in South Philly, the MBA and the stars of CZW will team up to provide a special night of wrestling action for charity! Admission for this event is FREE with a donation for Autism Awareness. Among those confirmed to appear are CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion ADAM COLE, Sami Callihan, Wired Champion DREW GULAK, the RUNAWAYS, Ophidian, Alex Colon, Chicken Alfredo and more! We’ll see you there for what should be a very entertaining night!
