"History has been made" is a phrase that is often uttered by wrestling announcers. In the case of this past weekend's tag team championship tournament, the phrase rings true. New tag team champions were crowned in what has to be one of the most jaw-dropping incidences ever in NWA On Fire. A certain team went into the finals under a mask of mystery and came out as an entirely different persona. As so often happens around here, when the smoke cleared we were left with more questions than answers.

El Leon, Apolo is on a tremendous victory streak since returning to NWA On Fire. The Puerto Rico legend and fan favorite is not mincing words when it comes to the reason for his return. "Puerto Rico is my country, but NWA On Fire is my home",

I can tell you this, our two live shows this past weekend in Gray and Mexico were off the chart, with exciting finishes, surprises and I can report that we have NWA On Fire Tag Team champions. Now, those in Mexico, Maine, know who they are, but for those who couldn’t make it, you’re just going to have to wait.

I know, that sneaky, underhanded Connman, but for now, I have been sworn to utter secrecy and I am going to abide by that. Sorry.

But, I do have some good news, if you check our Slammin’ Saturday mornings on WPME Television at 10:30 a.m., I guarantee you will find out once we get to the end of our Tag Team Turmoil Tournament.
