THEFT CAUSES CHANGES TO SAW TELEVISION SERIES

By Larry Goodman on 10/20/2010 3:22 PM
Showtime All-Star Wrestling was forced to alter their television taping schedule due to a theft that occurred following their October 9 TV taping in Columbia, TN at Freddie Morton's Auction House. Producer Bryan Thompson's truck got robbed in the parking lot of Cece's Bar & Grill during the after show party. Thompson's equipment was stolen, along with the hard camera footage of the four weeks of television taped that night.

Owner Reno Riggins made the unfortunate revelation on the October 16 episode of SAW television in Nashville. He closed the show stating his desire to choke the offending party out, before hyping the new taping schedule. In place of the Columbia footage, SAW ran a “best of” episode and will do the same this coming Saturday.

The original taping schedule called for a return to Columbia in November 13. SAW will run out of new episodes for broadcast on their America One affiliates with the show airing on November 5.

SAW will tape one hour on Friday, October 22 in Columbia featuring Chase Stevens defending the SAW International Title against Phil Shatter. Ryan Genesis, “Teen Excitement” Drew Haskins and Johnny Bandana are also on the card.

SAW will tape another hour of TV on Saturday, October 23 at the EWE Arena in Ripley, TN. Stevens vs. Tommy Mercer headlines. Genesis vs. Haskins is also on the card.
