11/12 ASW RESULTS FROM TAMPA, FL

By Alan Wojcik on 11/13/2010 10:01 AM

After a week off due to a billiards tournament, All Stars Wrestling of Florida returned to action on November 12th for “Full Throttle Friday.” The event was held as usual at Stroker’s Billiards, 11236 W. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa, Florida.

ASW Commissioner Don Vincent D came out to the ring to speak with ASW Chain Reaction’s Sean LaFlash to address the issues with the FXE. Only “the Prodigy” Mike Cruz came out who told the fans that Gu$ Money was not in attendance. Cruz said he was ready to compete and he had a handpicked opponent.

(1) ASW Tag Team champion “Prodigy” Mike Cruz defeated Super Grover.
Grover didn’t even make it into the ring before Cruz attacked him. The beatdown continued in the ring with Cruz hitting Grover with several moves that stopped when he missed a legdrop. That got Grover a second wind with a leg lariat for two. Grover tried to keep the momentum but he got caught in a Half Crab that got Cruz the submission victory.

(2) FXE’s Don Maximo defeated Roman Wright.
Maximo felt he needed to send a message to Damien Angel and the ASW locker room he was not someone to be messed with and quickly dispatched Wright with a power bomb.

Sean LaFlash spoke with Roman Wright that the ASW fans think that he has lost his way. Wright said he’s been getting beat down for months and is tired of being left alone without the American Gangstas. He said he doesn’t think he can keep going.

(3) In the “I’ll Make You Famous Challenge,” Francisco Ciatso defeated Brandon Scherer.
Ciatso went right to work on the youngster with high impact blows. Ciatso seemed stunned when Scherer got a sunset flip for two so he quickly hit a clothesline and ended the match with the K5.

(4) The NuYoRicans (Ramos, Rivera & D. Lee) defeated the Virus (Jude MacKenzie, Josh Rayne & Alex Decay w/Shawn Prime)
This was an interesting contrast in styles for several moments until the Virus isolated the rookie D. Lee from his team. All of the Virus members got involved in the Beatdown. However Alex Decay seemed uninterested and this allowed Lee to tag out and the NYR won by pinning Decay. After the match MacKenzie seemed to forgive Decay for his indiscretions. That was not the same for Rayne and Prime who attacked Decay. MacKenzie stood in the corner for a moment and then joined Rayne in a double superkick. The beating continued for some time before ASW security finally stepped in.

Commissioner Don Vincent came out to introduce the return of the one and only Sideshow. However he got the Uprising who addressed the third member of the group. It looked like it was Sideshow who embraced Eric Cooper & Eddie Taurus. The Don wasn’t too happy about this trio and said that Sideshow was now involved in the “baggage” the Uprising has been carrying around. So he introduced Simon Sez who was jumped by Sideshow. However it was not what it appeared to be and the real Sez came out and attacked Sideshow.

(5) “The Emerald Emperor” Simon Sez defeated “The 8th Deadly SinSideshow (w/the Uprising.)
The fighting went around the ringside area and finally in the ring where Sideshow hit the Code Breaker for two. Sideshow hit several moves that would have finished many wrestlers but not the “Jade General.” Sez fought back with several moves leading to a mafia kick for two. Sideshow fought back and had Sez ready for Double Penetration but Sez countered out and won with the Sez Effect. However that didn’t stop Cooper & Taurus from jumping in the ring and beating down Sez.

(6) ASW Florida Elite champion & FXE member Biff Slater defeated Joey Knight & Shooter Storm “The World’s Largest All-Nighters.”
This match was set up by the Don as a form of revenge on Slater for messing in other people’s business. Before the opening bell it looked like the All Nighters were not intimidated by the champion. They were after he tossed both of them around the ring like they were grade school kids. Slater felt the dancing fun was over and he dropped Knight onto Storm spinebuster style to end the match.

After the bell Slater got on the hose mic and said he hadn’t broken a sweat and wanted to defend the championship against anyone. That brought out the Commissioner who wanted to double check that Slater said anyone. This brought out the “Dancing Machine” Bobby Fonta!

(7) “Dancing Machine” Bobby Fonta became the ASW Florida Elite champion when he defeated Biff Slater.
These two rivals picked up right where they left off, but this was Fonta’s first match since Slater injured Fonta’s shoulder. The fighting went all over where Slater was the aggressor on the floor dropping Fonta on his head twice and then into the ringpost. Back in the ring Slater kept on the attack with legal and illegal moves as the fans cheered on Fonta. Fonta tried to fight back but Slater hit a running knee to the face before tossing him to the floor. Slater ordered referee Jimmie Mac to count Fonta out but Fonta beat the ten count. Fonta hit several clotheslines, a spinning kick to the mid section and a missile dropkick. Fonta was on a roll hitting a corner splash and Bulldog for two. Fonta went up a second time and this time Slater met him only to be hit with a sunset flip power bomb for two. Fonta went for the Flying Splash but missed and Slater hit a Spinebuster but Fonta kicked out. Fonta fought back with a double arm DDT for two as Slater got his arm on the bottom rope. Fonta went up again but Slater caught him and hit another Spinebuster for three but Don Vincent said Fonta’s foot was on the bottom rope. Slater was furious when the Don ordered the match to continue and he went to take it out on Fonta. But Slater missed the POUNCE and when he came out of the corner he was hit with another DDT and pinned for the loss.

The real surprise came after the bell as Slater picked up the Elite championship and handed the championship to Fonta. Super Grover and the World’s Largest All Nighter’s came out to join in Fonta’s victory.

Before the next match, Eric Cooper of the Uprising reminded the fans that two weeks ago they made an open challenge on ASW Chain Reaction to any tag team to face them. It was answered by the Highwaymen.

(8) The Highwaymen (Butch Long & Marc Mandrake w/Ferrari) defeated the Uprising (“the Infamous” Eddie Taurus and “the Essential” Eric Cooper w/Sideshow).
The NuYoRicans watched the match from the sound table position. This match began hot and heavy with brawling that was controlled by the Highwaymen. Cooper got on the house mic to say he didn’t want to hear Highwaymen fans cheering. So of course the fans cheered for their favorite team. When the match got going again the Highwaymen went to work on Taurus with legal and illegal moves. Their offense died when Long chased Taurus around ringside and was run over by a Sideshow clothesline. The Uprising as a unit made several tags and used double/triple teaming to beat down Long. To no one’s surprise Long held on and tagged Mandrake in but his corner splash took out the referee. This led to an all out cheat fest that was ended by Simon Sez who tripped up Taurus and dragged him to the floor. With Sideshow and Taurus fighting Sez, Cooper was hit in the ring and pinned with the Death Sentence. Sez came in the ring and missed Cooper with a chair shot but he laid out Sideshow as the Highwaymen watched on from their celebratory drinking post. Sez laid out a challenge to the Uprising to face him and Highwaymen in a six man tag.

(9) New ASW Heavyweight Champion “the Encore” Aaron Kanye Epic defeated Damien Angel.
Winning the championship two weeks ago seemed to change the attitude of Aaron Epic who came with a new wardrobe. It didn’t faze Angel who went right after Epic with power moves. Epic stepped to the floor for some alone time before re-entering. Epic decided to chain wrestle with Angel but that didn’t work as Angel fought back dropkicks and a flying head scissor. Once again Epic slid to the floor to clear his head. Epic came back to the ring and decided to outright kick Angel several times. Epic dropped his fist on Angel’s face trying to bust his nose open. Angel fought back but was hit with an STO for two. Angel fought back with an enziguri and this brought out FXE’s Don Maximo to ringside. Angel was close to victory but Maximo tripped him up. Epic capitalized by hitting a leg lariat but getting only two. Epic missed a corner splash and Angel hit the Spear and went for the Frog Splash but Maximo shook the ropes and Angel flew out onto Maximo. Epic just stood in the ring as referee Jimmie Mac counted out Angel.

After the bell Maximo tossed Angel into the ring where the fighting began once more. Commissioner Don Vincent came out and said in two weeks he booked the duo in a Strap Match. Biff Slater came out to ringside to try and calm down Maximo but Angel hit a suicide dive onto the group.
