11/19 ASW RESULTS

By Alan Wojcik on 11/20/2010 9:18 AM

All Stars Wrestling of Florida held its “Birthday Bash” version of Full Throttle Friday on November 19th  at Stroker’s Billiards 11236 W. Hillsborough Ave. in Tampa, Florida.

The first birthday to mention is the ASW Commissioner Don Vincent’s who came out to open the show with ASW Chain Reaction’s Sean LaFlash. The first “present” was Shooter Storm of the World’s Largest All Nighters. Storm said he had a special stripper for the Commissioner. It turned out to be “Hard Body” Rick Roberts. The party came to an end with the appearance of Roman Wright. Wright said he was not impressed with Roberts and its things like the birthday party that make him despise ASW. Wright called himself the “Next Best Thing in ASW.” Roberts took the mic and said he is not a “sideshow freak” and took umbrage to the statement. A pull apart ensued but it was settled down by the Don and ASW security.

(1) Super Grover defeated “Handsome” Jason Handley.

Grover seemed sluggish in the opening minutes, possibly from the past weeks celebration of Bobby Fonta’s Elite championship win. Things got bad after a belly to belly suplex for two. Handley went for the win with a Camel Clutch but opted for a pin attempt. Grover scored a rollup for two and dropkick to the Handley’s face for two. Handley stopped a corner splash with a bodyshot of his own followed by a powerslam. Handley went for a second rope splash but he only met the canvas which allowed Grover to get the double leg pin victory.

(2) In the “I’ll Make You Famous” challenge, Francisco Ciatso defeated “the Heavy Metal Hero” Jimmy Whiplash.

Before the bell Ciatso came to the ring to lay the challenge out for the second week. As you figured out it was answered by Whiplash who introduction was interrupted by Ciatso. The fight went to the floor where Ciatso laid in chest and back chops. Back in the ring Whiplash scored a flying head scissor into a two count. Whiplash got a crucifix for two as well and that pissed Ciatso off who hit the K5 to end the evening early for the “Heavy Metal Hero.”

(3) In a handicap match, The Highwaymen (Butch Long & Marc Mandrake w/birthday girl #1 Ferrari) defeated Misled Youth (Jude MacKenzie, Josh Rayne & Shawn Prime.)
Despite the disadvantage, the Highwaymen controlled the match for several minutes nearly pinning Prime for the win. Prime managed to clothesline Long and tag in Rayne who went nuts on Long. Rayne dumped Long to the floor where MacKenzie & Prime were waiting with open arms. The Youth made several legal and illegal tags working over Long as Mandrake & Ferrari could only cheer from their corner. Rayne made a mistake and missed a moonsault, hitting Long’s knees instead of upper body. It allowed Mandrake to tag in and go to work. But just when it looked bad for the Highwaymen, Alex Decay hit the ring and fought with Prime to the locker room as MacKenzie made for the exit. Rayne was left all alone to fall to the double team Last Call and the victory for the Highwaymen.

The ASW Tag Team champions “Pretty Boy” Gu$ Money & “the Prodigy” Mike Cruz of the FXE came out and said they have no opponents and demanded the Don find them a tag team to face. Don Vincent said he had a team which happened to the NuYoRicans. The FXE was not too happy to see the NYR. Cruz said the last time he checked, they were tight. The NYR said they did have respect for Cruz & Money but it was not personal. They said if wasn’t for them saving the FXE in several situations; they wouldn’t even have the belts around their waists.

(4) ASW Tag Team champions “Pretty Boy” Gu$ Money & “the Prodigy” Mike Cruz of the FXE defeated the NuYoRicans (Ramos & Rivera).

After some out of the ring fighting, the FXE kept Ramos away from his corner for several minutes. But that ended when he was able to tag out to Rivera who walked right into an armdrag from Cruz. Cruz ended up getting hit from the outside by Ramos as Rivera occupied the referee. This led to the FXE getting the same treatment they have dished out to the ASW tag teams for months, crisp tags mixed with double team shenanigans. Despite all the NYR dished out, Cruz refused to lose and after hitting Rivera with a leg lariat he tag out to Money who was ready for a fight. Money hit Ramos with a second rope double forearm smash for two and a rolling neckbreaker followed also for two. All four men got involved it got dangerous as Ramos accidentally hit Rivera. It allowed the FXE to take out Ramos with a double team move.

(5) New ASW Florida Elite Champion “Dancing Machine” Bobby Fonta defeated Kennedy Kendrick (w/birthday girl #2 Camey Kendrick.)

Last week on ASW Chain Reaction Kendrick laid out the challenge while visiting a NYC night spot. Fonta said he wouldn’t hide behind the belt and the Commissioner booked this match. While taking it to his opponent, Fonta decided to have some fun at Kendrick’s expense. Fonta took over with several armdrags but Kendrick had enough of the game and cut off a second rope move. Kendrick drove his knee into Fonta’s back several times and then used the ropes for leverage and allowed Camey some personal time with Fonta. Kendrick kept on the attack working over Fonta’s injured back but Fonta came back with a spinning heel kick and a hangman’s neckbreaker for two. Kendrick fought back but got hit with a Rock Bottom. Fonta missed a corner splash but Kendrick didn’t miss a corner move followed by a snap suplex. Kendrick set up for a move but got hit with a kick to the gut and a double arm DDT that got Fonta the win.

After the bell Camey Kendrick told Fonta she ruined her birthday and went to slap him but Fonta caught her hand. He went to smack her behind but Kennedy got to his feet and stopped it. Just when it looked bad for Fonta, it got worse when the former champion Biff Slater came out. But instead of attacking Fonta, Slater hit Kendrick with a spinebuster and then took the mic telling Kendrick he didn’t need his help. Slater told Fonta that last week he showed respect to Fonta because he felt it was deserved after the last six months of war. Slater said Fonta was no longer Florida’s undergo, he was Florida’s Elite.

The Uprising (“Essential” Eric Cooper” & “Infamous” Eddie Taurus) came out to see who answered their open challenge to any tag team in Florida. Commissioner Don Vincent said he had someone special for the Uprising. It turned out to be the largest athletes in ASW, Titan and Ryze! After picking up their jaws, Cooper said they would take the countout loss and live to fight another day. Don Vincent said he had another surprise, special guest referee Simon Sez!

(6) The 7ft Titan & “Korean Monster” Ryze defeated The Uprising (“Essential” Eric Cooper” & “Infamous” Eddie Taurus)

The Uprising were totally thrown off by the recent developments and it showed in the opening moments of the match. A test of strength challenge was laid out as Sez got himself a beer. The Uprising ended up on their knees screaming in pain and then on the floor trying to figure out a gameplan. Things didn’t get better as Ryze and Titan double chopped Taurus as Sez did some live commentary on the ring microphone. Somehow Taurus survived the beating he had dished out and after a low blow he tagged out to Cooper. The Uprising went for a double team move but Sez “accidentally” tripped up Taurus. Titan and Ryze dumped Cooper to the floor and Taurus fell to a ring shaking choke slam. The fun was not over as Ryze hit Taurus with the Korean Take Out as Sez watched on with a big smile on his face.

(7) ASW Heavyweight Champion Aaron Kanye Epic defeated WWE/ECW Superstar Shawn Spears.

Epic didn’t seem too intimidated by Spears as they went for the initial lockup. The bald Epic claimed of hair pulling which brought laughs out of the audience. The laughing stopped when Epic tagged Spears with a right hand to the jaw. Spears turned it into a wrestling match with an overhand wristlock but Epic resorted to hair pulling. So Spears resorted to chest chopping. After being called “chubby” by Spears, Epic took his frustration out on some kids sitting ringside. Back in the ring Spears went back in control with a side headlock into a take over for two. Spears went for the Sharpshooter but Epic bailed to the floor. When he went to get Epic, Spears got hit with a Hot Shot and dumped to the floor. Epic went after Spears with chest chops and a shot into the ringpost. Back in the ring Epic went to work on Spears with several bodyshots before locking in an overhand wristlock. Spears managed to counter out but he missed a dropkick when Epic held on to the top rope. Epic mocked Spears and locked in his own Sharpshooter but Spears got to the ropes causing the break. Epic locked in a rear chinlock but Spears got to his feet and out of the hold with a back suplex. Both men fought to their feet but it was Spears who was the aggressor hitting Epic with several hard bodyshots. Epic fought off a move and hit a Zig Zag for two. Epic charged Spears but got hit with a superkick for two. Spears and Epic countered each other but Epic hit a shoulder tackle for two. The referee ended up getting knocked out and he missed Spears hitting a DVD. Epic bailed to the floor as Spears tried to wake up the referee. Epic tried to knock out Spears with the championship belt but got locked in the Sharpshooter that made him tap out to no one. Spears again woke up the referee but when Spears went for the Sharpshooter again, Epic spit water or some liquid in his face. That allowed Epic to hit a second Zig Zag to get the controversial win.
