10 YEARS OF WORLD-1 SPORTS CELEBRATED ON 02.13
WORLD-1 Sports consisting over the PWF, Pro-Wrestling 3000, B4W Wrestling, and Pro-Wrestling WORLD-1, celebrates ten years of promoting professional wrestling on Sunday afternoon, February 13, at the Knights Of Columbus in Jackson, NJ, with a 2pm belltime.
New W-1 President Steve Corino wasted no time in putting together a great card for the Jackson fans.
"I was very honored when the W-1 fans voted me for 2011 President. After losing to Chris Rockwell on December 5, I was left wondering what I could do in the company. I am looking forward to a great year. With our new working relationship with Ring Of Honor and Pro-Wrestling Respect and a partnership that I will announce this week, the future is bright for WORLD-1." said the new man in charge of match-making. "We have a lot of great, young talent and with the stars of Respect coming in regularly I hope to increase the crowds at the Knights of Columbus. Then in March, my sister, Allison Danger, will produce her first Pro-Wrestling SUN event. I'm excited."
Three title matches will take place at WrestleBowl '11 with Hashimoto Legacy Cup winner and current North American champion Adam Cole being challenged by Symbol's Sam Shields in his V3 defense.
In matches taped for later release, Sam Shields took Adam Cole to a 20:00 minute draw and now has earned another title match against pro-wrestling and ROH's rising star.
New WORLD-1 tag team champions Kid America and Bobby Shields will make their V1 defense on February 13 against the evil team of Tommy Thunda and Reiko DMF and the new team of Harajuku Musume (Roxie Cotton & Sumie Sakai) in a three-way elimination match.
At WrestleBowl, WORLD-1 decides on the first WORLD-1 U-30 Openweight champion when Repect's Pelle Primeau, WORLD-1's Colby Corino, CZW's Tyler Veritas, and Freelancer Alex Payne will tangle in a 4-corners, first-fall-takes-all match.
The U-30 Openweight championship is open for all weights and genders, but the wrestler has to be under thirty years of age.
Heavyweights Bobby Dempsey of ROH and WORLD-1's Ryan Sawyer will tangle in their first ever contest.
At "The Conclusion" Rob Dimension promised GPS that he will never forget the day his career ended and it will be at WrestleBowl '11. Dimension said that The Monster C will challenge GPS but is there something up Dimension's dirty sleeve?
Colby Godwin, Rob Wolf, Sly Stetson, and more will have soon to be announced matches.
And finally, Team Symbol's Richard Guille is throwing a 1-Year Celebration for WORLD-1 heavyweight champion Chris Rockwell. Symbol will have cake, ice cream, and more and they toast the W-1 Ace. And Guille even petitioned for Rockwell to have a non-title match against a Mexican independent wrestler named La Mascara de Carbon.
