1/4 - CZW News and Notes - CALLIHAN announced for BEST OF THE BEST, CZW roster heads overseas, and more!
- With CZW's 2011 kickoff just days away, the Combat Zone continues to sort thru the aftermath of December's blowout Cage of Death event. With the DVD on sale now at SmartMarkVideo.com, as well as thru our other distributers, feedback has poured into the Combat Zone offices, and everyone continues to talk about what may have been the biggest show in CZW history. Among the most talked about matches was the grudge match between Robert "Ego" Anthony, and Sami Callihan. While Anthony earned the hard fought victory, it's Callihan's courageous effort that continues to steal the spotlight, and the "New Horror" has quickly become one of the most popular performers on the roster. Late this afternoon, CZW officials have decided to reward Callihan for his efforts, and have named him as the 2nd participant in April's huge return of the BEST OF THE BEST Tournament! Callihan joins Akuma as the first two entrants into the tournament, with more to be announced by DJ Hyde this Friday at CZW's return to South Philly!
- 2011 is setting up to be a big year for CZW's "New Horror". In addition to his birth in the return of the Best of the Best Tournament, Sami Callihan will be headed to Germany from March 11-13th, where he will represent CZW in WXW's prestigious 16-Carat Tournament. Joining Callihan will be CZW's cocky Junior Heavyweight Champion, Adam Cole, who will also be representing the dub in the Tourney. CZW congratulates both men on their inclusion in the Tournament, and wishes them the best of luck in taking home the trophy!
- CZW returns to South Philly this FRIDAY for our huge 2011 kickoff, featuring the long awaited and highly requested return of CZW Originals, THE BRISCOE BROTHERS, as they take on new CZW Tag Champs PHILLY'S MOST WANTED! In addition, CZW World Champion JON MOXLEY takes on a new challenger in BRODIE LEE, and World Jr. Champion ADAM COLE will defend his gold in an Open Challenge. Who will steal the show as CZW kicks off its Ultraviolent 2011 campaign?!
