WWC held their January 15 event at the Pepin Cestero Arena at Bayamon. PRW reader Junior reported 350 fans attending the show. Havoc, of the WWC Forum, detailed the results as follow:
1-Angel defeated Comandante. Comandante subbed for Rikochet, who no showed and was announced as being ill.
2-Black Rose defeated La Morena and retained the ladies title.
3-CJ O’Doyle defeated Chris Joel.
4-Niche defeated Lynx to retain the Junior Title. Match saw Black Rose interfering several times during the match, so La Morena came to attack her and then both ended at the dressing room.
5-Carlitos wrestled Gilbert to a 30 minutes time limit draw on a match that was for the Puerto Rican Title. At a moment of the match Gilbert pinned Carlitos at about the 25 minutes mark, but ised the ropes as leaverage. Referee Artache came in and explained the referee what really happened so match was restarted with only about 5 minutes remaining. Carlitos applied the figure 4 leglock but Gilbert reached the ropes. Later Carlitos applied the figure 4 leglock again but time limit reaches and there was no winner. Gilbert announced a challenge for an Iron man for next week event. Carlitos wanted it there.
6-Shane defeated a ‘Former Universal Champion’. The former champion came in with a hood covering him and told Shane that he is the reason that the Iniversal Title belt is actually at Mexico. Then discovered himself. Match. After an exchange of offensive, Shane defeated that former WWC Universal Champion, who was BJ. After the match they argued for a while and then Victor Jovica came in and told BJ that for the next week event, at that building, he will be facing Luke Gallows. Then told Shane he will be facing Carlito Caribbean Cool.
7- Joe Bravo defeated Hideo Saito to retain the Caribbean Title. Match ended by DQ when Saito throwed the green mist to Bravo.
8-Thunder & Lightning came in. Los Rabiosos not came out. Instead Joe Don Smith came in and told them that in the past they have turned on him so that’s the reason that now he is with Los Rabiosos. Mr. Big & Blitz came in attacked Thunder & Lightning, who minutes into the match were bleeding. With knux, Thunder & Lightning made Los Rabiosos to bleed. Match continued for a while. JDS went to get a beer, gave it to Nlitz and then Blizt was capable to enter to the ring, but at that moment JDS turned on Blitz and thrwoed him to a ring post. Then Thunder & Lightning did a 3D on Mr. Big and covered him to win the match and win back the Tag Team Titles. Then JDS along Thunder & Lightning attacked Big and covered him with barbed wire. Blitz did the save using a chair.
