The New York Wrestling Connection, is LIVE, this Saturday, January 29, 2011 with the most incredible show of the year... The 8th Annual Psycho Circus! The event will take place at: NYWC Sportatorium This event will contain violent content that may be inappropriate for some people. Parental discretion is advised Mikey Whipwreck, Syther, Alex Moore, JT Kasin & Francis Kipland Stevens III vs. Stockade, Rex Lawless, Apollyon, Rickie Cataldo & "Superstar" Dickie Rodz with Nickie and Crusher Doogan Each January, NYWC fans can be sure to start off the new year with a bang as the New York Wrestling Connection presents the most brutal, sadistic, intense match in professional wrestling, the Psycho Circus! This 5-on-5 elimination contest features such delights as tables, ladders and chairs, as well as a healthy amount of barbed wire... the Psycho Circus will be truly insane! The rules for this match are as follows: A member from each team will start the match and compete for 5 minutes. After the initial 5 minute period a member from Crusher Doogan's team will enter the ring and 2 minutes thereafter a member from The Freaks & Geeks team will enter the match. From that point on every 2 minutes teams will alternate sending someone to the ring. Eliminations are not allowed until all 10 men have entered the match and ONLY at that point can competitors be eliminated. The ways to win are as follows; Pinfall. Put anyone from the opposing team through a table. Make someone from the opposing team submit. Once you are eliminated you must leave the ringside area immediately. NYWC CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH "Yours Truly" Alex Reynolds (c) vs. Winner of the Joker's Wild Battle Royal Many NYWC Superstars lobby for a shot at the NYWC Championship over the course of the year and are turned away. This year wining the Joker's Wild Battle Royal will give someone that shot. Can the reward for winning the annual match be any greater? NYWC Champion "Yours Truly" Alex Reynolds doesn't seem to care who wins. The Champion had this to say when asked for comment, "Good luck wrestling 15-20 other idiots and then getting by the 6 foot 7 inch King Mega and winning that battle royal". We asked the champion what would happen if King Mega does in fact win the battle Royal and had to face him for the NYWC Championship? Mr. Reynolds seemed to pause as if he was unprepared for such a scenario, struggled for a moment to regain his composure and said, "That's nothing to worry about because The King is paid well to protect me and my NYWC Championship and when he wins the battle royal he will gladly lay down to Yours Truly". We tried to get in touch with King Mega for comment but his manager Prince Charles said he was unavailable for comment. MASTERS OF THE MAT / 4 MAN - 30 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH Bruno Marciano vs. The "Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese vs. The "Greek God" Dimitrios Papadon vs. Quiet Storm In what should be one of the most anticipated and impressive match-ups on the card, these four men will compete in the 2nd annual NYWC "Masters of the Mat" match. With a 30 minute time limit the competitor with the most points will be declared the winner. Submissions will be worth 3 points and pins will be worth 2 points. If a wrestler is counted out of the ring they will lose 1 point and if a wrestler is disqualified he will lose 2 points. There will be a special scoreboard on the Video screen so the fans can keep track of the point totals. NOTE: Tony Nese will go into the match with a 2 point advantage because he scored the pinfall in the tag team match at "Sideshow" December 18th. NYWC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH All Money Is Legal with Eddie Guapo vs. The "Blowout" Boy Dan Eckos & Kenny Royal After defeating Mikey Whipwreck & Syther on December 11th in Port Jefferson Station, K-Murda & K-Pu$ha, (collectively known as All Money Is Legal) have been claiming to be the greatest tag team in NYWC history. Their claim may have come a bit to soon as Kenny Royal & Dan Eckos were able to score a pinfall victory over them December 18th at "Sideshow". Striking while the proverbial iron was hot, Royal & Eckos went to NYWC management and was able to secure a tag team championship match at The Psycho Circus. Can the newly formed team of Royal & Eckos overcome the experience of All Money Is Legal and what factor will Eddie Guapo have in the outcome? NYWC FUSION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH "Number 1" John Silver (c) vs. Chris Forza If there is one thing Chris Forza can't stand it's not being considered the best. Since his arrival here in the NYWC, Forza has set his sights on NYWC gold and John Silver's Fusion Championship is the gold he's targeted. In the past month, Forza has beaten Silver by count out, Gotten himself deliberately disqualified and even tried stealing the Fusion Championship belt in order to throw the champion off his game. So far, Silver hasn't succumbed to Forza's mind games and if history is any indication, Forza will be facing a Fusion Champion 100% focused on retaining his championship and remaining "Number 1". JOKER'S WILD BATTLE ROYAL King Mega, Manny Martinez, Spyder, Victor Cruz, "Platinum" Pat Buck, "Big Time" Tony Burma", Ryan "The Adrenaline" Rush, Matias, Odie Montez, Dante Cabrera, members of the Buck Brigade and more!!! One of the most looked forward to matches in the NYWC every year is the Joker's Wild Battle Royal. Participants fight in an over-the-top rope battle royal where the winner is granted a title shot for the NYWC Championship.....that night!!! Rookies have used the Joker's Wild Battle royal to jumpstart their careers and veterans have used the opportunity to once again get their careers back on track. Expect some familiar faces mixed with some new ones and maybe even some faces you haven't seen in a while. In the Joker's Wild battle Royal, expect the unexpected.
