Philadelphia, PA – TWELVE years ago, John Zandig founded the most ULTRAVIOLENT wrestling group to ever be seen… COMBAT ZONE WRESTLING! This coming Saturday, current CZW Owner, DJ Hyde, continues a tradition of blood, sweat, and wrestling at the Asylum Arena in South Philadelphia.
This event will be headline by a huge rematch for the CZW World Tag Team Titles! Philly’s Most Wanted will once again defend their titles against one of the greatest teams in professional wrestling today… Mark and Jay… The Briscoe Brothers! Last time these teams met, Philly’s Most Wanted walked out of the match. This time there will be no walking away as this match will be NO DISQUALIFICATIONS!
Co-headlining this event will be Jon Moxley defending the CZW World Heavyweight Championship against the #1 Contender, “The Ego” Robert Anthony! Moxley has been known as the “Clutch Player” here in the Combat Zone for being able to squeak away with his title despite all obstacles placed in front of him… Will he be able to do it again at the biggest celebration in CZW history?
With this event on Saturday, we will be only two months away from CZW’s most prestigious tournament… BEST OF THE BEST X! Combat Zone Wrestling has already named six participants into the tournament. Out of those six, Alex Colon must defend his spot in the tournament against “The New Horror” Sami Callihan. Two more people will qualify from CZW this weekend. First, when CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion, Adam Cole, goes one-on-one against a mystery opponent. The second will qualify when he is victorious in the CZW Six Way Match pitting Ty Hagen, Rich Swann, Ryan McBride, Aaron Arbo, and Jonathon Gresham. CZW Owner, DJ Hyde, announced via his Facebook account that he will announce an additional set of talent who will represent their respective promotions. This April’s Best of the Best is shaping up to be the biggest and best Best of the Best yet!
The stars of “That's the Most Illegal Thing I've Seen in the History of Wrestling!” on YouTube, The Osirian Portal, will be in attendance this Saturday at TWELVE! But according to rumors, the victims of the Portal’s hypnosis in that video, The Runaways, will also be in attendance despite their suspension from CZW. Will we get a sequel this Saturday?
All this and more will be going down THIS SATURDAY when CZW presents its 12th Anniversary in South Philadelphia at the Asylum Arena!
