February 18th saw the return of ASW Florida “Full Throttle Friday” to Stroker’s Billiards of Tampa, FL.
The evening was opened by what we thought was Double Deuce Social Club leader Francisco Ciatso. His music played but out came the “Emerald Emperor” Simon Sez dressed like the man from Mulberry Street.Sez..I mean Ciatso joined ASW Chain Reaction’s Sean LaFlash in the ring to mock the former IPW Hardcore TV champion. The Masked Inferno came out to apparently answer the “I’ll Make You Famous” challenge. Sez said he didn’t come to wrestle, just enjoy the evening with friends. But he did have someone who wanted to compete, Don Maximo.
(1) Don Maximo defeated Masked Inferno.
I wish I could say the Inferno put up a good fight but I would be lying. He was shoved around the ring by Maximo and put away in what could be record time.
(2) Roman Wright defeated “the Full Fledged Floridian” Chad Sexington.
Just as Sexington entered the ring Wright nearly clotheslined his head off. Wright kept on the attack driving his boot into Sexington’s throat. Sexington blocked a suplex attempt but couldn’t fight off the second attempt and fell to Wright. Wright felt he didn’t get enough of Sexington, so he scooped him up and slammed him into the canvas
(3) In the tag team battle royal, the Latin Assassins (“Pretty Boy” Gu$ Money & “the Prodigy” Mike Cruz) defeated the World’s Largest All Nighter’s (Shooter Storm & Joey Knight), the NuYoRicanz (Ramos & Rivera w/D. Lee) & Misled Youth (Jude McKenzie & Josh Rayne).
The Highwaymen (Donnie York, Butch Long & Marc Mandrake) watched from the stage area reminding the match participants they were the #1 contender’s to the ASW Tag Team championship. They also reminded this transcriber they have defeated all the teams in this event. The NYR and the Assassins survived the gauntlet portion of the match and faced off in a tag team match that ended with double top rope attack from the Assassins. After the match the Highwaymen told Sean LaFlash to tell the Uprising when they arrive at Stroker’s they were looking for them.
Sean LaFlash spoke to “Killer” Kyle Blizzard who said he was here only to watch not challenge anyone. He said the promotion was ‘All Small Wrestling” and had no interest in competing. This brought out “1st Generation Star” Teigan James who said there was competition in ASW and he wanted Kyle Blizzard in the ring tonight. Blizzard said there was no money to be made, but didn’t hesitate to attack James with furious anger.
(4) In a Starlet’s match, Leva defeated “Redneck Raccoon” Ferrari.
Recently Leva had a tryout match with TNA Wrestling and was super energized to be taking on Ferrari. However she surprised the fans by coming to the ring with a lifesized cutout of Twilight star Robert Pattinson which she spoke to like he was really Edward Cullen. The ringside fans immediately began chanting “Team Jacob.” Ferrari didn’t care what team Leva represented as she was ready to fight. What started as chain wrestling turned into Ferrari showing off her strength by holding her position in the ring on two shoulder blocks. Leva was tossed to the floor and Ferrari followed delivering smashes to the back. Leva finally re-entered the ring after consulting with Edward, by dropping Ferrari’s throat on the top rope. Leva kept on the attack using martial art kicks on Ferrari’s head. Leva locked in a sleeper but Ferrari hit a jawbreaker to escape. But Leva went back to the kicks to Ferrari’s head followed by a corner splash for two. Leva went up but missed her mark and it allowed Ferrari to get her attack going which included a Bronco Buster. Leva fought back with a Scorpion Death drop for two. Ferrari fired back with a snap suplex for two and Leva slid to the floor once more to talk to Edward, bringing him in the ring and tossing him to Ferrari. Leva waited for Ferrari to toss away Edward and she went for a kick but it was blocked. But Ferrari’s counter was countered and Leva got the last move by scoring a rollup pinfall with a handful of Ferrari’s ring shorts.
(5) Henry Maxwell defeated Leo Gold.
Maxwell locked up but when Gold got an advantage, he slid to the floor claiming Gold was “too fast for him” Maxwell came back to the ring but talked trash and it led to a chase around the ring and back in. Maxwell attacked Gold but it backfired as Gold hit several moves to slow down Maxwell. Maxwell begged for mercy long enough that Gold lost focus and was driven into the turnbuckles out of control. This allowed Maxwell to take over by bending every rule in the book and then some. Maxwell went for a clothesline but got hit with a dropkick from Gold. Both men fought to their feet but it was Gold who was the aggressor, so much so that it cost him when he missed a corner splash. His momentum plus Maxwell’s feet on the ropes for leverage led Gold to a hard fought defeat.
(6) ASW Florida Elite champion “the Great” Kennedy Kendrick (w/Camey Kendrick) defeated “Dancing Machine” Bobby Fonta via DQ.
Fonta had the fans on his side and he reminded Kendrick of that fact in the opening minutes of the match and also that his boots were untied. Kendrick actually looked and was slapped in a side headlock. Fonta kept on the attack even as Kendrick asked him to look up, only to have Fonta stomp on his foot. Kendrick slid to the floor only to see Fonta follow out with a suicide dive. But Fonta took his focus off Kennedy and put it on Camey long enough for Kennedy to hit a cheap shot. Fonta fell back into the ring as Kendrick went on the attack using legal and some illegal holds. The fight briefly went to the floor where Kendrick tossed Fonta into the ringside tables. When the action came back to the ring it was Kendrick getting set for the running. But Fonta felt it coming and knocked Kendrick away. Fonta went on an offensive tear hitting several high impact moves including a Back Cracker for two as Kendrick got his foot on the bottom rope. Fonta was throwing right hand punches but accidentally elbowed referee Dan Kreigbaum. When Fonta went to check on the referee, Kendrick hit a sitout spinebuster but couldn’t win. Fonta rolled up Kendrick but to the same result. Kendrick locked in a stretch submission hold but also couldn’t get the win. Finally the referee recovered as Kendrick was tapping out to an arm sumbssion. Kriegbaum called for the bell but awarded the match to Kendrick.
Just as Kendrick went to attack Fonta, Damien Angel came out to aid Fonta. Angel called out Kendrick for a match since he ducked out on last week’s match. Sean LaFlash said he got a text message from ASW Commissioner Don Vinnie who said next week the match would take place despite Kendrick’s protest.
(7) ASW Florida Tag Team champions the Uprising (“the Essential” Eric Cooper & “the Infamous” Eddie Taurus) defeated “The Marquee” Bruce Santee & Biff Slater of the FXE.
Commissioner Don Vinnie booked this match last week to be ASW Heavyweight champion Aaron Kanye Epic & Danny Demanto vs. “the Marquee” Bruce Santee & Biff Slater of the FXE. But Epic came out alone to tell Santee & Slater that Danny Demanto was not able to appear due to a legal matter. But he had suitable replacements, the Uprising. He felt since they would be facing the NWA World Tag Team champion Dark City Fight Club next week, they needed a tune up. Santee said they didn’t want championship belts and would gladly beat up the Uprising. Epic paced back and forth behind the audio technician Fan in the Corner during the match. Santee started against Taurus and was driven to the floor by what looked to be a blow to the face. Santee and Slater enjoyed themselves as they took turns beating down the Uprising in and outside the ring for several moments. Finally Slater and Taurus entered the ring with Taurus in control only to see Taurus be hit with a mafia kick for two. Cooper tagged in but didn’t fair better until Slater missed a corner splash and crotched himself on the second turnbuckle. That one moment gave the Uprising the opening they needed to take over for what seemed to be an eternity. Epic went to ringside and when the referee was distracted, got in a cheap shot or two. The bad part of this whole thing was the Uprising’s inability to put Slater away. Slater capitalized on an error and he hit Cooper with a T-Bone suplex. Slater tagged in Santee who went on the attack with power moves. A blind tag allowed Slater back in the ring for a POUBCE but referee Jimmie Mac followed Cooper and Santee to the floor, missing Epic laying out Slater with the ASW Heavyweight championship. The referee made his way back to the ring only to see Taurus lying on Slater for the pinfall victory.
After the match Santee and Slater’s post match conversation turned into a pushing match that needed ASW security to separate them. ASW Commissioner Don Vinnie reminded Slater he had a NO DQ match next week with ASW Heavyweight champion Aaron Kanye Epic, with special referee “the Marquee” Bruce Santee!!!
