3/4 ASW RESULTS

By Alan Wojcik on 3/5/2011 10:12 AM

On Friday March 4th, ASW Florida held their weekly “Full Throttle” event at Stroker’s Billiards 11236 Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, FL.

(1) Don Maximo of the FXE defeated Josh Rayne of the Misled Youth.
Rayne didn’t wait for Maximo to enter the ring; he hit a plancha to the floor trying to take the big man out. Rayne kept the pressure on as they went into the ring. Rayne did the smart thing by keeping Maximo on the mat. But when Maximo did get to his feet it wasn’t long before Rayne went up and came down in the dreaded chokeslam. To the shock of many “Handsome” Jason Handley came out and attacked Maximo.

(2) “American Nightmare” John Allen (w/ “Gentleman” Joe Litrell) defeated Wayne Van Dyke.
Before the match Litrell tried to talk Van Dyke out of competing tomorrow night’s Kendrick Elite Battle Royal in Orlando. Litrell said his man John Allen could take out the other 11 men in the match and was going to make an example out of Van Dyke. In the opening minutes Allen did just that, taking the aggression to Van Dyke in and out of the ring. Litrell distracted the referee so Allen could ram Van dyke into the ring post and use the walking stick as a weapon. When the match came back to the ring Allen hit a slam and a Rude Awakening but didn’t go for the pinfall. Instead Allen hit two piledrivers and referee Dan Kreigbaum called for the bell when he felt Van dyke couldn’t defend himself. Don Maximo came out to help Van dyke but ASW security was already on the scene.

(3) The James Boys (Luke & Rich) defeated “the Nomad” Damon Divine & Brian Badical.
The James Boys jumped their opponents and didn’t look backward. Luke & Rich made several tags working over Badical with high impact moves. Somehow Badical tagged out to Divine but he didn’t fair better as he was hit with a modified Death Sentence. After the match the James Boys laid out their opponents with their cowbell. But before they could do severe damage Shooter Storm and a folding chair chased the Boys off.

Shooter Storm talked about tomorrow’s event in Orlando and brought out Marc Mandrake of the Highwaymen with Ferrari. Mandrake talked about his opponent tomorrow, the “8th Deadly Sin” Sideshow. But they were interrupted by Damien Angel with a bucket of cold ones. Angel and Mandrake shared a beer discussing their past encounters. Angel called out Mandrake to face him and Sideshow tomorrow night in a triple threat match!!

(4) ASW Florida Elite champion “the Great” Kennedy Kendrick (w/Camey) defeated ROH star Colby Godwin.
Godwin and Kendrick started out with some chain wrestling that stopped when Godwin hiptossed Kendrick to the floor. He soon followed him out with a tope’ and some chest chops. After driving Kendrick’s face into the mat, Godwin hit an Ole kick and got a two count. Godwin ended up on the top turnbuckle and went for a tornado DDT but Kendrick swept his legs out, sending Godwin to the canvas. Kendrick locked in a chinlock but Godwin escaped only to be choked on the ropes by Camey. Kendrick got two on a Perfect style snap mare before locking in the chinlock again. Kendrick went to the ropes but was hit with a spinebuster, but Godwin couldn’t make the cover. Instead both men fought to their feet and traded punches and kicks. Godwin went on the attack with forearms to the face of Kendrick before setting up Kendrick for a power bomb that got two. Kendrick fought out of a hold and locked in a body stretch but Godwin got to the ropes causing a break. Kendrick went up top but Godwin caught up to him. After some forearm shots, Godwin fought for a hold but got shoved back into the ring where Kendrick hit an elbow drop for two. Godwin thought he had the championship in his hands but he fell to Kendrick and a mafia kick.

ASW Chain Reaction’s Sean LaFlash brought out the ASW Florida Heavyweight champion Biff Slater, former champion Aaron Kanye Epic and the other challenger tomorrow night, “the Marquee” Bruce Santee. Each man spoke about the triple threat match and how they were going to defeat the other two. Santee said he was the most deserving man in the ring while Epic said last week’s loss to Slater was a fluke and Slater couldn’t do it again. Slater said he would beat both men’s asses tomorrow and started by attacking Epic. This brought out the entire ASW locker room to try and keep the trio apart.

(5) The Latin Assassins (“Real Deal” Mike Cruz & “Pretty Boy” Gu$ Money) became ASW Tag Team champions when they defeated the Uprising (“Essential” Eric Cooper & “Infamous” Eddie Taurus.)
The Uprising wasn’t too pleased with the chants for Cruz & money and refused to enter the ring. Referee Jimmie Mac said if they didn’t enter the ring, he would call a forfeit and award the championships to the Assassins. Needless to say Cooper & Taurus entered the ring for competition. Money & Cruz controlled things for several moments, working over Cooper and then Taurus’ left arms and shoulders. But the Uprising were able to isolate Cruz from his corner and work on his ribs. But Cruz was able to hit Taurus with a neckbreaker and tag out to Money just as Cooper entered the ring. Money laid out Cooper and went up to hit a move, but Cooper got the referee’s attention long enough to allow Taurus to drop Money on the ropes. The double teaming ensued with the Uprising maneuvering the referee around. The bad part for the Uprising is nothing they did could keep Money’s shoulders down for the required three count. This led to some frustration and a mistake that allowed Cruz to tag in and lay out the Uprising. All four men got involved with Money being thrown into the ringpost. Cooper got laid out and whole referee was distracted the NuYoRicanz came out and tossed Taurus to the floor. They laid Cruz on top and it got the victory for the FXE. D. Lee of the NYR took the mic to congratulate the FXE and says they would lose the championships tomorrow in Orlando.

The Uprising jumped back in the ring and laid out the Assassins before calling out Simon Sez. Sez came out and was laid out in the double team. Cooper took the house mic to taunt Sez about their tag team match tomorrow night and called out Jay Lethal who was sitting at the time keepers table. To the surprise of no one, Lethal placed his wallet and cell phone to charge the ring. The fight was on again with Lethal hitting the Uprising with a handspring into a double elbow smash to their faces. Lethal and Sez stood tall in the ring as the Uprising paced around ringside. Both men talked trash on the mic deciding to not wait and demanding the match take place right now. The Uprising made their way back to the ring but opted to wait until tomorrow in Orlando.
