3/13 CHIKARA RESULTS FROM BROOKLYN, NY

By Josh Higham on 3/13/2011 10:20 PM

Chikara presented "Creatures from the Tar Swamp" today at the Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY before a capacity crowd.

Due to MTA issues, I was about an hour late to the show. So that's awesome.

So from @chikarapro on twitter:

Jakob Hammereier defeated Green Ant with help from Derek Sabato and Tursas.

The Osirian Portal defeated BDK (Donst, Sanchez, and Tursas) when Hieracon pinned Pinkie Sanchez.

3.0 vs The Unstable never started after Vin Gerard attacked a fan which made Shane Matthews go berserk.

Then I arrived.

Sara Del Rey defeated Toshie Uemastsu with a royal butterfly suplex. After the match, Uematsu thanked the crowd and reminded us to keep the Japanese tsunami and earthquake victims in our thoughts.

Lumberjack match: The Throwbacks defeated the Roughnecks. Sugar pinned Grizzly after a suicide squeeze from Dasher and a senton from Sugar while Brodie Lee was ducttaped to the ringpost. The lumberjacks were: Icarus, Stigma, Vin Gerard, Obariyon, Kodama, Kobald, Steve "The Turtle" Weiner, Hallowicked, Ultramantis Black, Acid Jaz, Marshe Rockett, Willie Richardson

Intermission

Frightmare defeated Obariyon with a kneecolepsy after blocking the flying DDT. Obariyon got a jumpstart on Frightmare from behind with Kodama hiding in a cloak in the ring.

Sinn Bodhi defeated Ultramantis Black with his Talulu Mae DDT. Kizarny spent most of the bout going after Ultramantis's mask, even tearing a huge chunk out of it.

Mike Quackenbush and Jigsaw defeated The Colony to retain the Campeonatos de Parejas.
Soldier Ant pinned Mike Quackenbush with a crucifix.
Mike Quackenbush then pinned Soldier Ant blocking a crucifix attempt.
Jigsaw pinned Fire Ant after a super torture rack bomb.
Soldier Ant and Mike Quackenbush did a ton of chain and submission wrestling, and Jigsaw and Fire Ant did more lucha. Both Soldier Ant and Mike Quackenbush smacked their ankles on the guardrail early on and limped quite a bit, and Quack hurt his arm.

Claudio Castagnoli defeated Eddie Kingston after hitting a European Uppercut with a chain wrapped around his arm. All of the BDK in attendance tried to get involved to Claudio's assistance. At one point, Kingston headbutted the ref, Derek Sabato and called Bryce to take over. Sabato recovered and pulled Bryce out of the ring to count the win for Claudio. After the match, Castagnoli began whipping Kingston with Eddie's belt. Most of the BDK actually left while Claudio was whipping, saying he had done enough. Only Tim Donst stayed with Claudio throughout the whole assault.

Notes:
Full crowd, but not sardine packed like the show in September... Ultramantis Black is so over it's crazy. If he's not involved in Chikara championship scenario, it would be wrong... Lince Dorado was off both shows this weekend with no explanation to the crowds, so fans around me were sharing conspiracy theories.

I'll be back later in the coming weeks with DVD reviews of the February shows, the final preview of all 16 King of Trios teams, a column predicting the King of Trios outcomes, and a preview of the championship situation.
