FIP Headlines for 3.17.11
5 HUGE matches signed for THIS SATURDAY NIGHT in Crystal River!
After a hiatus FIP returns to the National Guard Armory in Crystal River this Saturday night with a big night of pro wrestling action. FIP officials have announced 5 matches scheduled for this Saturday night, including 3 title matches!
John Moxley will defend the FIP World Heavyweight title versus the man who defeated him in this year’s Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup tournament, The New Horror Sami Callihan.
When reached for comment Moxley said, “So Sami Callihan gets another chance to show the world he isn’t just that little fat kid nobody liked anymore? Sami Callihan gets another chance to prove to himself he belongs in the big time, to prove to himself that the win he got over me at the Peterson Cup wasn’t a fluke, to prove to himself that all the time he’s spent in the gym, watching his diet, tormenting himself into becoming the man he is today wasn’t just some giant waste of time, that it wasn’t all for nothing…well I got news for you Sami… You are still the kid nobody likes, you don’t belong in my league, don’t belong in the big time, you’re win over me WAS nothing but a fluke, and all that time you’ve spent reinventing yourself was exactly that.. A giant waste of time, because you won’t get lucky twice.. Not against me, not Saturday night, not ever.”
Dark City Fight Club open challenge answered by The Flatliners.
The FIP Tag Team Tiles will be on the line as the team of Asylum and Matt Burns, collectively known as the Flatliners will make their FIP debut. The team makes their way to FIP by way of Ontario Canada having been mainstays on the indy circuit north of the border. As usual Jon Davis/Kory Chavis were not impressed with their opponents. “Just another couple of white bread punks looking to take what we’ve got, well all they’re going to take is a trip to the hospital.. Just sucks for them we don’t have national healthcare down here, because they may not make it back to Canada in time to take advantage of it back home, but rest assured, they will need it when we’re done with them.”
NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title to be defended for first time in FIP
NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champ Craig Classic, fresh off successful tours of Puerto Rico and Japan returns to Florida to put his belt on the line against promising youngster AR Fox in a battle of mat technician versus athletic hi flyer which should be a dandy.
Ron Niemi leads 911 inc back into town as Chris Gray takes on Sugar Dunkerton, and former FIP Florida Heritage Champ Chris Jones returns to take on Caleb Konley.
