Stroker's Billiards of 11236 Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, FL was the hot spot to see the weekly "ASW Florida Full Throttle" event.
(1) Don Maximo of the FXE defeated Roman Wright.
Before the match Wright proclaimed he has been 4-0 since the beginning of 2011. He said he didn't care who was coming through the curtain as he was ready to win. His demeanor changed when Maximo made his way through the curtain. After talking to Maximo about his undefeated streak, the bell rang and the punches began flying. To the shock of everyone it was Wright being the aggressor, keeping Maximo on the mat with submission holds. Wright made a mental mistake and he paid with Maximo hitting a spinebuster followed by several high impact moves. Wright fought back with some semi-legal shots to Maximo's neck before locking in a full nelson. But Maximo escaped and ended the match with his dreaded chokeslam. Once Wright got to his feet the fans chanted "4-1."
ASW Chain Reaction's Sean LaFlash brought out "Emerald Emperor" Simon Sez for an interview in font of the ASW fans. LaFash brought up the heated and personal rivalry with Francisco Ciatso and also Sez's rumored health issues. Sez told LaFlash if he were in the shoes of "the Jade General" would he be doing the same thing. LaFlash to no one's surprise, agreed. Sez called for anyone to out and wrestle since Ciatso was "working at Pizza King." The challenge was answered by the terrifying Deathrow Jethro.
(2) "Emerald Emperor" Simon Sez defeated Deathrow Jethro.
Jethro was unshackled and the fighting began with punches that went all around the ring. Referee Jimmie Mac tried to restore order but it only gave Jethro the chance to hit Sez with a cheapshot. Jethro didn't let up as he worked over Sez's neck. Sez got some control when he blocked a corner charge by Jethro and went on the attack. But Jethro got another shot to Sez's throat. Sez countered out an F5 like hold and hit the Sez Express to win. Jethro didn't care and he attacked Sez as ASW security charged the ring. Jehtro tossed them aside and kept on assaulting Sez until Don Maximo who is the head of FXE security came out to save Sez. It allowed ASW security time to get Jethro back into his restraints. Jethro was yelling "I'm gonna kill you Maximo!!"
(3) ASW Tag Team champion Carlos Rivera of Tha NuYoRicanz (w/D. Ramos & "Gentleman" Joe Litrell) defeated D. Lee.
This match was to have been Lee vs. Don Kiko but the newest member of the NYR was AWOL. The former member of the NYR ran right into the ring and attacked Rivera with furious anger and punches. The two men traded heel trips trying to get control of the leg but ended up standing strong in the middle of the ring. Lee got control until Ramos tripped him from the floor as Rivera blocked the referee's view. Rivere went to work on tearing Lee's left side of the anatomy apart working on the arm then the leg with submission holds. Lee fought back only to be hit with a DDT and a clothesline for two. Rivera went back to the mat with a rear chinlock but he fought up only to be taken to the mat once more. Lee finally got on the offense after countering a move into a swinging neckbreaker followed by several hard hitting offensive moves that got Litrell and Ramos pacing around the ring. Lee got two on a slam and went to end it with a Jack Hammer but Ramos stopped the referee's count. Lee responded with a baseball slide into Ramos. When Lee went for his next move it was stopped cold by Litrell's walking stick which met Lee's back against the ropes. Lee fell to Rivera and then chair shots from Ramos with Litrell yelling degrading insults.
(4) In a fatal fourway, ASW Florida Elite champion "the Great" Kennedy Kendrick (w/Camey Kendrick) defeated Damien Angel, Josh Rayne & Romeo Quevedo.
This match was scheduled to be Angel vs. Rayne vs. Quevedo but ASW Commissioner Don Vinnie said since Florida Elite champion Kennedy Kendrick was in attendance for some promotional photos, why not keep him in his wrestling gear and make it a championship match. That was good for the opponents but bad for Kendrick as he had no allies in the ring. But it briefly turned into Rayne & Quevedo working together with high flying moved onto Kendrick and Angel who had bailed to the floor. Quevedo and Rayne traded offensive moves in the ring until Kendrick tripped up Quevedo and dragged him to the floor. Rayne didn't care and went to work on Kendrick until Kendrick slowed things down and got Camey involved. Quevedo recluctanly tagged in as Kendrick had Rayne in an abdominal stretch. Rayne did his best to keep Quevedo from getting the win as Kendrick demanded he be tagged in. Quevedo tagged out but not without Kendrick using foul langauge to get his point across. But Kendrick's mouth was too busy running and Rayne got out of a corner move and tagged in Angel who was ready to fight. But Kendrick again slowed the pace down by working on Angel's left shoulder. Kendrick took his focus off Angel for one moment and it gave Angel the chance to hit a spear and tag in Quevedo who hit a spinebuster and a top rope move only to have Rayne break up the pin with a top rope move of his own. Quevedo missed a top rope move onto Rayne and it allowed Angel to hit Rayne with the Money Clip. But Kendrick slid in and tossed Angel to the floor and pinned Rayne. After the match Kendrick grabbed the house mic and told Angel it seemed like he was the realest SOB in ASW. Angel responded by shoving Kendrick to the canvas. Angel kept his stare on Kendrick until he entered the locker room and when he turned around, Quevedo was standing there. Not attacking but just waving to Angel.
(5) "The Infamous" Eddie Taurus defeated "the Stimulus" Sam Shaw.
Before the match Taurus and the recently departed "Essential" Eric Cooper who was watching the show as a ticketed patron. ASW Commissioner Don Vinnie stepped in the ring and told Taurus is Cooper interfered in any way Taurus would be out of ASW. As the match began Wayne Van Dyke was walking around the building with a sign that read "Reinstate Cooper." Taurus was the aggressor but Shaw went move for move with the former ASW Heavyweight champio, getting the first near fall of the match. Shaw had total control until his springboard move from the second turnbuckle move was stopped by Van Dyke. That allowed Taurus to get a cheap shot in and bring Shaw back to the mat. Taurus went to work on Shaw's back with a bear hug. Shaw escaped only to be hit with a dropkick to his left knee and Taurus locked in a Figure Four but Shaw fought and countered it. Taurus screamed in pain as he barely reached the ropes. Shaw got to his feet first and went to work on ending Taurus's evening with pain. Shaw went to win but when he countered out of a hold, Taurus' left foot met Shaw's groin. Taurus hit a DVD for two and missed his frog splash. Shaw went for a superkick but Van Dyke got on the ring apron, so Shaw hit him with the superkick. Taurus would have the last laugh when he got the rollup pin with both of his feet on the ropes. After the match Taurus shot his mouth off one time too may and Shaw hit him with a superkick. Shaw thanked the fans for allowing him to be part of tonight's match.
(6) ASW Florida Heavyweight champion Biff Slater of the FXE defeated "Killer" Kyle Blizzard.
Last week Blizzard shocked everyone when he defeated Slater, could he do it again with the championship on the line was the big question. Early on it was Slater matching power moves with the challenger. Slater countered a suplex with one of his own and Blizzard went to the floor. The bad part for Blizzard was Slater followed him out and slammed him into the ringside tables. Finally the match came back into the ring with Slater still in control. That was until Slater missed a corner shoulder tackle and Slater's let shoulder hit the ring post. Blizzard went right to work on the injury with power moves questionable ones that risked a DQ from the referee. Blizzard hit a corner splash but his second one was stopped by a Slater clothesline which was followed by two more and a mafia kick for two. Slater fought off Blizzard and hit a belly to belly suplex but couldn't follow up. Both men fought to their feet with Slater hitting a slam for two. Slater argued with referee JW Anderson over the speed of his count and had his power bomb blocked. But his POUNCE was ready to take out Blizzard, instead he took out JW Anderson. Blizzard hit his finisher but the referee was out cold. So Blizzard went to the floor and dragged him into the ring. When Blizzard got back into the ring Slater hit him with a T-Bone suplex for two as the referee finally got some motion in his body. Slater had his spinebuster blocked and Blizzard went for the F5 but Slater countered out into an inside cradle and he held Blizzard down long enough to earn the victory. After the match Blizzard had a heated verbal exchange with ASW Commissioner Don Vinnie. Slater took to the microphone to tell Don Vinnie next week he wanted one more shot at Aaron Kanye Epic. Don Vinnie said next week it would be an old school 2 of 3 falls matchup.
