The Young Lions Cup tradition started in All Pro Wrestling in 2008, and has since been one of the most popular events during the APW calendar year.
Last year's Cup winner, "The Fallen Star" CORVUS, has since become the puppetmaster of the Carnival of Shadows, and has been the #1 Contender for the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship. Now, he's back to defend his claim to the cup against seven other Young Lions who are looking to take it and make their way towards the top of All Pro Wrestling.

This is a Tag-Team grudge match pitting the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake and a mystery partner against JECKLES and a member of The Carnival Of Shadows. When Dylan Drake challenged JECKLES to a match, CORVUS responded that JECKLES would only face Drake in a tag team match with Dylan Drake not knowing which member of The Carnival that JECKLES will pick, either BLACKWELL or OMEGA.
Dylan Drake accepted the challenge for a tag team match, but he would also have a mystery partner of his own. CORVUS thought he was giving a strategic edge going into this grudge match by letting Dylan think which Carnival Of Shadows members would team with JECKLES, but Dylan Drake turned the tables and now it is CORVUS and JECKLES who are both trying to find out who Dylan Drake will have as a partner on Friday, April 1st.
Who will be Dylan Drake's mystery tag team partner? Will it be his good friend "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson? "Double D" Dave Dutra? Mr. Wrestling #4? or will it be a brand new competitor making his All Pro Wrestling debut? Whomever it is, you know the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake will have someone who can handle himself in a fight against The Carnival Of Shadows.

The rules are as follows: The winner of this match will be the last man standing after all other five members in the match are eliminated.
In this match there are a lot of old scores to be settled. Jody Kristofferson would love to get his hands again on "The Boss" Derek Sanders after their matches this past fall when Sanders used every turn in his book to steal a win from "Big Country". Sheik Khan Abadi and Alexis Darevko have a past as former tag team partners until Darevko blamed Sheik for their losses in APW. Darevko came up on the short end of their matches, and he would like nothing more to finally put an end to his former partner. Both Vennis DeMarco and "Double D" Dave Dutra are both looking to win this special attraction match to be strongly considered for a future title shot at either the World Wide Internet or APW Universal Heavyweight Championship.

Also added is a special attraction match pitting "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher taking on top United Kingdom wrestler, "The Male Model" Jay Kutler. By Kutler's ring name of "The Male Model", you know he is full of attitude and confidence. Kutler has made a name for himself on the United Kingdom wrestling scene since his debut in 2004. Kutler is now looking to make a name for himself here across the pond, and has challenged one of All Pro Wrestling's best in "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher.
Kutler picked to come to All Pro Wrestling because of the exposure from television and also Youtube. "The Male Model" challenged "The British Messiah" to show the American wrestling fans that Thatcher is not in Kutler's league. Kutler said that in the United Kingdom, Thatcher would be simply a mid-card wrestler--Though that is not true, as Thatcher has had a successful career and has won several championships in the U.K.
Once he got the phone call, "The British Messiah" gladly accepted Kutler's challenge. Thatcher tells of a story when Thatcher was wrestling in the United Kingdom back in May of 2008 when he was scheduled to face Jay Kutler, but for reasons unknown, Kutler pulled out of the match. Kutler claimed that is false, and plans on defeating Thatcher right in the center of the All Pro Wrestling ring.

"Out Of Control" Matt Carlos will take on the man who claims he is the "Real" Internet Champion, "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury. A challenge was made by Luxury's manager, Markus Mac, and the challenge was accepted with a Union Landing by Matt Carlos to make this match with both belts on the line. Will Rik Luxury finally make good on his claim of being the "Real" Internet Champion? Or would will one of the hardest working World Wide Internet Champions in history, Matt Carlos, once again walk out with another successful title defense?
