Jay Repsel Presents DREAMWAVE Wrestling: “Anniversary II” April 9th, 2011
LASALLE – DREAMWAVE Wrestling was viewed around the world on February 5th. On April 9th, DREAMWAVE hopes the world is ready for round two! DREAMWAVE Wrestling returns to LaSalle, IL at the Knights of Columbus with the biggest show on its calendar, “Anniversary II” broadcast live around the world on Internet Pay Per View! Wrestling legend and WWE HOF “Hardcore Legend” Terry Funk will lead the best collection of wrestling talent in the Midwest into action!
“We took a risk in February with the iPPV and it paid off” said DREAMWAVE owner Jay Repsel. “We got great feedback on the talent and the quality of the show. We are confident that each time we dive into iPPV we will get better and better” Repsel explained. “We are honored to be in the presence of a legend’s legend like Terry Funk and I can guarantee on iPPV he will show he is still middle-aged and crazy!”
The main event of the card is a World Championship match between former WWE star Kevin Thorn and DREAMWAVE World Champion Jason Hades. Thorn appeared on WWE TV’s “ECW” program beginning in 2006 and was part of Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit in 2007. During that Wrestlemania, he performed in front of 80,000 plus fans. DREAMWAVE also made a huge impact by signing “Hardcore Legend” Terry Funk to appear on the Pay Per View. Funk is a 7-time World Champion and is the first former NWA champion to appear in LaSalle. He was inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame in 2004 and the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2009. Other matches on the card include: a Three Way Dance for the Alternative Title between “Mr. 450” Hammett, “Legendary” Dan Lawrence and Champion Mason Beck, a DREAMWAVE Tag Team Championship match pitting the Beck Family against Zero Gravity and If Looks Could Kill in a Tag Team Table Match and Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana will square off against Juice.
After a successful run at iPPV in February for “Season Premiere”, DREAMWAVE felt it was definitely worth another shot. “February 5th was a nerve-wracking day. It was our first attempt at an iPPV and you could definitely feel that day was different than other event days. It did work out in the end, as we had people from three different countries outside the United States order the event on iPPV”, Repsel explained. “That was a real shot in the arm. To think people on the other side of the world watched us perform is truly inspirational. We definitely have a ways to go to get to where we want to be but that showed us we are moving in the right direction. We look forward to putting our biggest show of the season on display for the world to see and I promise we won’t disappoint.”
“We have been on this roller coaster for two years now and we don’t plan on getting off any time soon”, Repsel said.
With the biggest show of 2011 on the horizon, you don’t want to miss DREAMWAVE Wrestling: “Anniversary II” April 9th LIVE around the world on iPPV!
