HAYWARD, CA (APW) -- All Pro Wrestling's Spring Tradition, The Young Lions Cup, took place once again at the famous APW Garage. Eight young professional wrestlers, each vying for the right to call themselves the 2011 APW Young Lions Cup Tournament winner. Last year's winner, CORVUS, took place in the tournament looking to repeat as the the holder of the Cup. Others were looking to make their names in All Pro Wrestling, hoping to make a similar impact in 2011 as CORVUS did in 2010. However, one young lion made his long awaited in-ring debut; Matthew Theall's newest client, Perry Von Vicious.
Not only was the Young Lions Cup on the line, but also was the undisputed claim to the World Wide Internet Championship, as the official, recognized Champion "Out of Control" Matt Carlos (himself, a former Young Lions Cup winner) took on "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury, who along with his manager Markus Mac, has claimed to be the 'Real' Internet Champion since his controversial loss at the hands of Matt Carlos. On this night, Matt Carlos, Rik Luxury and All Pro Wrestling looked to settle once-and-for-all who the true World Wide Internet Champion would be.
The pride of "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher would be on the line as well, as he would take on fellow U.K. competitor "The Male Model" Kay Jutler. Jutler had claimed that in the U.K., that Thatcher would be a mere "Mid-Carder", while Thatcher had stated that he had once been scheduled to compete against Jutler, but for reasons unknown, Jutler had pulled out of the match. Thatcher would be looking to get back to his winning ways since coming up short in a bid for Dylan Drake's APW Universal Heavyweight title, while Jutler is looking to make a name for himself in the U.S. at Thatcher's expense.
The threatening specter of the Carnival of Shadows still looms over All Pro Wrestling, as JECKLES would take on APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake in a Tag-Team match, with Drake not knowing which other member of the Carnival that he would team with. Drake accepted this challenge, but did so with the Carnival of Shadows not knowing which partner he would team up with. The mind-games and strategy of the Carnival may have backfired, as Dylan Drake shows that he too can play those games.

A quick, but very exciting match with both men going one hundred miles an hour to get a quick victory. P .Net won the race and hit a quick Downward Spiral for the pin. Though he lost, Shaprio opened some eyes with his aggressiveness and intensity. Since his solid effort against Mr. Wrestling #4 in November, Brandon P .Net has hit the gym and refocused himself on his career, and it has sure has paid off as he moves on to the Semi-Finals.

Perry Von Vicious made his long awaited in ring debut in All Pro Wrestling, and quickly showed why Matthew Theall signed him to a contract, as the smug competitor outsmarted his opponent, quickly locking in his finishing hold, putting Torch to sleep with the Cobra Clutch.

As Jody Kristofferson was making his entrance, the masked man in black who has been attacking him and Will Rood stuck once again, attacking Kristofferson and injured him by sending him face first into the ring post. Kristofferson was helped to the locker room for medical assistance.
"Double D" Dave Dutra pinned "The Russian Wolf" Alexis Darevko with a frog splash at the 5:11 mark. Right after Dutra's pin, "The Boss" Derek Sanders rolled up Dave Dutra to steal the pin at the 5:19 mark. Sheik Khan Abadi pinned Vennis DeMarco at the 8:57 with his finishing cutter move. "The Boss" Derek Sanders pinned Sheik Khan Abadi at the 13:16 mark.
Sanders thought he won the match, but "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson came out and told the Sanders he knew that masked man was his hired thug and that "The Boss" still had one competitor to deal with in this match. Kristofferson and Sanders battled it out going back and forth for several minutes until the masked man in black showed up and distracted Kristofferson, allowing "The Boss" to get a roll up with a handful of tights to win the Six-Way Elimination match.

Both men where equally matched, but it was P.Net who was able to surprise Rood and grab his spot in the finals, pinning Rood with a roll-up.

After The Match
As Will Rood was leaving the ring and thanking the fans for their support, "The Boss" Derek Sanders and the masked man in black attacked Rood from behind. The masked man picked Rood up and drove him right in the middle of the ring with a DDT, laying him out. Luckily for Rood, Jody Kristofferson was there to make the save and run off "The Boss" and his hired goon.

This was a battle between two Brits to prove who was the best. Jutler came all the way across the pond to show All Pro Wrestling and the World that he was a league beyond Timothy Thatcher. Jutler put up a great effort and showed some fantastic athletic ability, but it wasn't enough as "The British Messiah" locked in the Thatcher Stretch to force the submission and gain the victory

This "Title-for-Title" match was put together to determine the true, undisputed World Wide Internet Champion. The so-called "Real" Internet Champion Rik Luxury claims (and perhaps, rightly so) that he defeated the recognized, legitimate APW World Wide Internet Champion Matt Carlos a few months ago, and has even brought in a title belt to signify that he is the rightful, "Real" Internet Champion.
However, nothing was settled between these two on this night, as the match came to an end after both men were counted out of the ring.

The Carnival of Shadows may have lost the match, but won the battle, as they brutally attacked the team of Drake and Thatcher.
CORVUS forced Drake to watch as JECKLES nailed Thatcher with the Joke-Slam out on the concrete floor. This resulted in Thatcher suffering a moderate-to-severe concussion which will leave him out of action for quite some time.

Several times in this match, it seemed that Brandon P .Net would come away as the winner of the Young Lions Cup, but PVV was able to weasel his way out of danger. In the end, PVV was able to lock in the Cobra Clutch for the match and tournament victory.
