2CW BIG SHOW TONIGHT IN WATERTOWN

By Jonathan Musok on 4/22/2011 11:45 AM

Living on the Edge 6 this year is just one night but it appears that 2CW has put the action of two nights and merged them into just one. The Watertown Fairgrounds Arena will be the site of this years Living on the Edge which takes place on Friday, April 22nd, 2011. There is a lot to talk about so let’s get down to the matches …..

Women’s Match: Portia Perez VS. Sara Del Rey

2CW’s female mainstay Portia Perez has something to worry about. Due to a car accident, Madison Eagles, Shimmer Champion, won't be available as planned for LOTE. With that said, Sara Del Rey has graciously stepped forward to take Portia on one more time. The last time these two great females were in the ring together was part of a six person tag match. Tonight, it will be singles action, and who knows what will happen.

Mixed Martial Arts Rules: Three Rounds: “Muscle” Marcos VS. Isys Ephex

In their first encounter Isys picked up the quick victory against Marcos but in the last two encounters the muscle of 2CW has been on the winning end. While some may say that his last two wins might be tainted, a win in a win in the record books. Back In February in Binghamton, NY Marcos won the match with his feet in the rope, and in March he won by using an illegal weapon. (Shake Weight, yes, that Shake Weight). So now the series is set at 2-1 and Marcos has even agreed to a match that Isys has suggested, a MMA Match. Now will Isys be able to pick up a win in an MMA Style Match or does Marcos have something up his sleeve?

Special Attraction: Honky Tonk Man VS. Cheech

The Greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time is coming to Watertown, NY and making his 2CW debut at 2CW’s Flagship event Living on the Edge. His first opponent in 2CW the ever ready Cheech. Does Cheech have what it takes to take down the WWE Legend or will the Honky Tonk Man shake, rattle, and roll his way to victory in Watertown?

For the 2CW Tag Team Championship: Colin and Jimmy Olsen, 2CW Tag Team Champions VS. New Age Outlaws (D-X Members Billy Gunn and “Road Dogg” Jesse James)

Colin and Jimmy Olsen have held the 2CW Tag Team Championship since August, 2010 when they defeated the American Wolves last year in Watertown. They have taken on any and all comers for their tag team titles and some how some way they have managed to hold on to those Tag Team Titles. At Living on the Edge comes The Olsens greatest challenge D-X Members the New Age Outlaws, Billy Gunn and “Road Dogg” Jesse James. The Outlaws are the masters of shenanigans so this time The Olsens won’t be able to pull any of their usual stunts with these two veterans. Some people may think there is no way the Outlaws will walk out of Watertown with the 2CW Tag Team Titles, but those are the same people, who last year said there was no way the American Wolves would beat Up in Smoke.

For the 2CW Heavyweight Championship: Wagner Brown, 2CW Champion VS. Brodie Lee VS. Eddie Edwards

Wagner Brown and Brodie Lee have been up and down the highways of 2CW and at every stop they would both run into each other. A long running feud between these two rekindles at Living on the Edge. The last time these two stepped into a 2CW ring together Brodie Lee was 2CW Champion. On that night, in Elmira, NY Wagner Brown defeated Brodie Lee and took his 2CW Championship. Now, five months later, Brodie gets his rightful rematch at 2CW’s Biggest Show of the Year. However, the new ROH Champion Eddie Edwrads, has decided that he wanted to be part of the action. After lobbying to the Squared Circle Wrestling Management team, everyone agreed that Eddie should take his rightful spot in the Heavyweight Title Match. Now, it is anybody's guess who will come out of this epic 2CW Title Match the Champion.

Tables Match: First Class (Kevin Graham, Punisher VanSlyke, & ZSIII) VS. Killer Steves & Loca Vida.

A feud that started in October in Utica, NY at Zero Hour and has continued until Living on the Edge tonight becomes a Tables Match. The Killer Steves and Loca Vida have not picked up one single win throughout this feud and last month in Syracuse the Steves and Loca Vida challenged First Class to a match they know all too well, a tables match. In 2CW The Steves are synonymous with tables, especially at Living on the Edge, and this year will be no different. So do the Steves believe in their specialty match they can finally pick up a win against the dominant First Class? Or will this just be another loss in the long line of losses for the Steves and Loca Vida?

Cage Match: “Juggernaut” Jason Axe VS. Jay Freddie

Arguably the feud of feuds in 2CW has come down to this. A 15 foot high steel cage in Watertown, NY and Watertown just happens to be Freddie’s hometown. The circumstances for a win by Freddie are perfect. In his hometown, inside a steel cage, he can destroy his number one foe and Jason Axe would have it no other way. For Jason this is also the perfect opportunity to kill off the face of 2CW in his hometown in front of his friends, family, and 2CW faithful. The only way to win this match is escape the cage and get your feet on the ground. Either scale the cage or walk out the door. No interference, one on one, one of these two men will have the chance to prove that they are the more dominant one and may be able to end this brutal feud once and for all.

Don't miss all the action at this year's Living On The Edge. tickets will be available at the Watertown Fairgrounds Arena (600 William T Field Dr, Watertown, NY) doors when they open at 6:30 pm.
