15TH ANNIVERSARY EXTRAVAGANZA
By Brandi MendezThe EWF roster and fans hosted an emotional 10-bell salute and 30 second moment of silence in remembrance of “Macho Man” Randy Savage, who died Friday morning in Tampa, FL.
Match #1: Tool DEF. Triple L
Former EWF Champion Tool with his manager Stick Boy took on his adversary Triple L with Madness, and pinned him with the three-count.
Match #2: Chris Kadillak & Tim Lovato DEF Anchors Away (Petty Officer Ryan Stone & David E. Jones)
EWF sensation Tim Lovato made his surprise return, teaming with the “zero-gravity” Chris Kadillak. The “Fly or Die” duo’s match against the American servicemen was high adrenaline from start to finish, with Kadillak and Lovato victorious in the end. This match was truly an amazing start off to the night’ s festivities.
Match #3: “Iron Man” Mike Maze DEF The 400lb. “Definition of Pain,” Terex for the EWF American Championship
A bitter rivalry came to a head almost a year after first locking up in the ring. Terex paid an immense punishment to EWF’s “Iron Man.” One power-bomb after another, Maze appeared as if he was the next victim on Terex’s path of destruction and pain. When everything seemed to be lost for him, Maze fought back the monstrous champion by picking him up and body slamming him onto the canvas. With one flying elbow, the EWF fan favorite landed on his opponent, made the victorious 3-count and successfully captured the EWF American Championship.
Match #4: Los Luchas (Zokre & Phoenix Sun) DEF The A-List (”Top Shelf” Jeremy Jaeger & “ The Overnight Celebrity” Roger Ruiz with Ashley & Nikki Hollywood)
The A-List came out to the ring with their usual flamboyance and flare as the No.1 contenders took on the reigning EWF Tag Team Champions. However, the usual lethal and helpful Hollywood sisters were off their game in assisting Jaeger and Ruiz in their victory, but caused their defeat with a blow to Jaeger's head with an unidentified object, causing the A-List to lose the match. The A-List left empty-handed, and left the Hollywood sisters without an alliance as they were axed from the in-crowd.
Match #5: “Project 56” Joshua Dunbar & Shawn Ricker ended in a double elimination in
The Great Goliath Battle Royal
In the Great Goliath Battle Royal, EWF saw the return of Extreme Loco and turn as a fan favorite, while Ray Rosas made a turn to the dark side against the crowd as he attacked So-Cal Crazy outside of the ring after he was eliminated. The ending of the royal was where the tension kicked up a notch, as Dunbar and Ricker were both eliminated at the same time. EWF Commissioner Frank Mott then announced that the two men would meet on June 10th in a No. 1 contenders match, to determine the next challenger for the EWF Championship.
Match #6: “Mega King” Tommy Wilson DEF Brandon Gatson in an “I QUIT” Match
In the final lock-up for these two bitter enemies, the seven-month rivalry ended in an intense and brutal match. The two men took one another to their physical limitations, and resulted in Gatson losing a significant amount of blood at the hands of the “Mega King” and his trusty steel chair shot to his forehead. It must’ve been the loss of blood and delirium kicking in as the Lonestar State’s golden boy uttered the words, “I QUIT” in the end.
Match #7: “Handsome” Johnny Starr DEF Ryan Taylor for the EWF Championship with Mikey Henderson as the Special Guest Referee
EWF’s main event started out with a swift kick to Starr’s head early on, courtesy of the Fallen Empire’s ringleader. Grueling intensity and absolute no mercy was shown to the “Handsome” cowboy as Taylor continued the punishment on the outside of the ring. It was in the heat of the match where EWF’s “Public Enemy No. 1” Mondo Vega interfered and took out former EWF Champion and Special Guest Referee Mikey Henderson to the outside of the apron. As the tables turned the glass went flying as Taylor crushed his 2010 wrestler of the year plaque over the head of Starr. Henderson regaining his consciousness stormed the ring and countered Vega while Starr sent Taylor straight down to the canvas, and onto the glass capturing the pin and the EWF Championship.

The night after the 15th Extravaganza did not disappoint as EWF’s Superstars heated up the cool spring air with the closing night of the biggest weekend of the EWF calendar.
Match #1: Mighty Mike Mountain DEF Dweezil Malone
Calgary’s “Iceman” Malone took on the EWF’s equivalent of the “Grinch.” Mighty Mike Mountain. Though he fought with an intense valor, intensity wasn’t enough for the rookie to defeat the seasoned veteran, as Mountain pinned Malone for the three-count.
Match #2: Terex DEF Tim Lovato
Reeling from his loss at EWF’s 15th Anniversary Extravaganza, the 400lb. “Definition of Pain” Terex was the description of aggression as he took on the high-flying sensation Tim Lovato. No matter how many attempts Lovato would shoot off in his signature aerial-technique, the former American Champion would send him down, like a fly with a swatter. Terex landed the victory by catapulting himself into a back flip, (yes, TEREX flipped himself into the air) onto Lovato, securing the bone-crushing pin.
Match #3: “Iron Man” Mike Maze DEF “The Rattle from Seattle” Eddie Mattson for the EWF American Championship
Unlike his longtime adversary, the newly crowned EWF American Champion Mike Maze’s attitude was distinctingly more pleasant since winning the championship in Covina. The EWF’s “Iron Man’s” winning streak continued as he took on and defeated Mattson in his first successful title defense.
Match #4: The Bar Room Saints (“Project 56” Joshua Dunbar, the “Irish Icon” D.K. Murphy w/Bonnie Isle) and Valiant DEF The A-List (“Top Shelf” Jeremy Jaeger, “The Overnight Celebrity” Roger Ruiz) and Stryder
With the newly axed Ashley and Nikki Hollywood sitting ringside, the A-List’s hard times continued as they and the debuting rookie Stryder lost at the hands of the fan favorites, Saints. Will the A-List be able to turn around their luck before it’s too late? We’ll just have to wait and see.
Match #5: “Handsome” Johnny Starr DEF Izzy Wise for the EWF Championship
The newly crowned EWF Champion, Starr took on the Oregon native as seaked retribution for a previous attack during his statement to the EWF fans earlier in the evening. With the same intensity and aggression, Starr took out his rival and successfully retained the EWF Championship.
