STRIKEFORCE CHALLENGERS 16 PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW #2

By David Tees on 6/21/2011 10:58 AM
Due to several injuries to some preliminary card fighters, Strikeforce officials have decided to add two more preliminary card fights to the event. The additions are not a bad addition by any means, with one fighter a veteran of the highly touted M-1 Challenge promotion. Despite the changes to the card, there is still plenty of good action to catch this Friday Night with Strikeforce Challengers 16.

The first newly added preliminary card fight is a welterweight encounter as Eduardo Pamplona (14-2-0) faces Jerron Peoples (0-0-0). Eduardo Pamplona enters the fight riding a nine fight winning streak, with three of those victories coming in the M-1 Challenge promotion. Jerron Peoples will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he does have plenty of amateur MMA experience. This fight is simply a set up to give Eduardo Pamplona a victory and that is exactly what is going to happen.

The second added fight is a lightweight division affair as Sterling Ford (12-4-0) goes to battle with Charon Spain (6-5-0). Sterling Ford enters the fight riding a five fight winning streak, with one of those victories coming over Charles Bennett. Charon Spain is currently undefeated in 2011, with one of those victories coming in the King Of The Cage promotion. This will be an interesting battle on Friday Night, but it will be Sterling Ford getting the big time victory.
