Preliminary Card

Fight #1 – BFC Featherweight Tournament Opening Round

Ronnie Mann (19-2-1) vs. Adam Schindler (9-1-0)

Referee: Jorge Alonso

Round One

The round begins with Schindler attacking Mann with some leg kicks, Schindler then connects with a few punching combinations on Mann. Both fighters then exchange a few knee strikes while on the cage wall, Mann then catches Schindler with a high push kick. Mann then catches Schindler with a few punches when both started swinging, Mann then hits Schindler with a right. Mann then catches Schindler with a body punch and body kick, Mann then drops Schindler with a left and he follows it up with a few more strikes until Schindler goes out cold.

Fight Result: Ronnie Mann def. Adam Schindler by KO via strikes (4:14, R1)

Fight #2 – BFC Featherweight Tournament Opening Round

Jacob Devree (10-1-0) vs. Nazareno Malegarie (19-1-0)

Referee: Troy Waugh

Round One

The round begins with Malegarie instantly dragging the fight to the ground, Malegarie quickly locks in a guillotine choke on Devree. Devree finds a way to escape and he is now on top of Malegarie, Malegarie then spins to a heel hook attempt on Devree and he fails. Devree then finds himself in the open guard of Malegarie, the referee stands up the fighters after inactivity and Devree hits Malegarie with a leg kick. Both fighters then starts working their jabs on each other, Malegarie then clocks Devree with a solid left to the jaw. Malegarie then scores a takedown on Devree and he winds up in the rubber guard, Malegarie transitions to back control as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with Malegarie quickly nailing Devree with a right, Devree then stuffs a Malegarie takedown attempt and he winds up in a guillotine choke. Devree finds a way to escape and Malegarie gets full mount, Malegarie then gets back control on Devree after a scramble. Malegarie then starts attacking Devree with some ground and pound, Devree finds a way to put Malegarie in the half guard. Devree then finds a way to put Malegarie into the butterfly guard, the fighters stand up and Malegarie scores another takedown on Devree. Malegarie attempts a heel hook and Devree winds up on top of him and he clobbers him with a right as the round ends.

Round Three

The round begins with Devree catching Malegarie with an uppercut, Malegarie then scores a takedown on Devree and he gets the butterfly guard. Malegarie locks in a guillotine choke on Devree and a tap out follows.

Fight Result: Nazareno Malegarie def. Jacob Devree by submission via guillotine choke (1:25, R3)

Fight #3 - BFC Featherweight Tournament Opening Round

Genair Da Silva (10-3-0) vs. Marlon Sandro (17-2-0)

Referee: Jorge Alonso

Round One

The round begins with Silva hitting Sandro with a quick punching combination, both fighters then exchange a few leg kicks. Sandro then dazes Silva with a few strikes to the facial area, Silva then catches Sandro just a little bit with a spinning back kick. Sandro then drops Silva with a left hook and he follows it up with more strikes before attempting a guillotine, Sandro attempts a triangle choke on Silva before staying on top of him. The fighters stand up and Sandro nails Silva with a right, Silva then rocks Sandro with a big left to the noggin. Silva starts attacking Sandro with leg kicks, Sandro responds by hitting Silva with a body punch as the round ends.

Round Two

The round begins with both fighters nailing each other with quick strikes, Sandro then accidentally nails Silva in the balls. The fight resumes with Sandro rocking Silva with a right.

(Note: Sorry for the lack of coverage in Round 2, but I have an electric outage for a few short seconds.)

Round Three

The round begins with Silva nailing Sandro with a hard right, Sandro then accidentally nails Silva with another low blow. Silva recovers to nails Sandro with a few blows to the body, both fighters then start attacking each other with leg kicks. Silva then nails Sandro with a kick to the body, Sandro then recovers to nail Silva with a left to the side of the head. Sandro then scores a takedown on Silva and he gets the half guard, the fighters stand up as the round ends.

Fight Result: Marlon Sandro def. Genair Da Silva by split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28)

Main Event - BFC Featherweight Tournament Opening Round

Pat Curran (13-4-0) vs. Luis Palomino (16-6-0)

Referee: Troy Waugh

Round One

The round begins with both fighters throwing kicks at each other, Palomino then starts taking over with his leg kicks on Curran. Curran then catches Palomino with a side kick to the belly, Curran then rocks Palomino with a right and flying knee strike. Curran then gets on top of Palomino with the half guard, Curran then starts hitting Palomino with hammer fists. A scramble forces Curran to take head control on Palomino, Curran locks in a Peruvian neck tie on Palomino and a tap out follows.

Fight Result: Pat Curran def. Luis Palomino by submission via Peruvian neck tie (3:49, R1)
