UFC 132: CRUZ VS. FABER II SPIKE TV PREVIEW

By David Tees on 6/30/2011 3:24 PM
After watching four top notch fights on the UFC’s official Facebook page, turn it over to Spike TV at 8pm EST. for two more top quality bouts. Both fights will be featuring the lightweight division and the headliner of this portion of the card may have title implications. The other fight on this portion of the card will pit a top Australian fighter against a top Brazilian fighter.

Kicking of this section of the card is a lightweight division encounter as Rafael Dos Anjos (14-5-0) takes on George Sotiropoulos (14-3-0). Rafael Dos Anjos hasn’t fought since a loss to Clay Guida at UFC 117, due to suffering a broken jaw in the fight. George Sotiropoulos is coming off his first loss in the UFC, a loss that ended an eight fight winning streak for the fighter. The majority of this fight will be taking place on the ground, but it will be George Sotiropoulos picking up the win.

Headlining this portion of the card is another lightweight division fight as Melvin “The Young Assassin” Guillard (28-8-2) faces Shane Roller (10-3-0). Melvin Guillard enters the fight riding a four fighting winning streak, most recently defeating Evan Dunham at UFC Fights For The Troops II. Shane Roller is currently undefeated in UFC competition, having defeated Thiago Tavares at UFC On Versus III. This fight should be nothing short of a good brawl, but I see Melvin Guillard keeping the winning streak alive.
