3XWrestling Celebrates 6 Years of Live Wrestling Events
The 6 Year Anniversary Event is 3XW’s 75th total event
DES MOINES, Iowa - 3XWrestling (3XW) proudly presents its 6 Year Anniversary Event on Friday, July 29 at All Play in Des Moines. Traditionally 3XW’s biggest wrestling event of the year, this year is even more special due to it also being 3XW’s 75th event overall.
The Des Moines-based family-friendly wrestling promotion has grown from humble beginnings in July 2005 to being a leader in the Midwestern professional wrestling scene. 3XW has twice been recognized (2008, 2010) by Missouri Wrestling Revival (http://www.
Now 3XW prepares for the biggest event in its history. The eight-match card is full of rivals finally settling their issues in the ring and features three championship matches, the first-ever “Canadian Tuxedo” match, six-man tag team action, and two of the top names in women’s wrestling battling for the first time.

Dream match for 3XW Heavyweight championship!
”The Rebel” Jeremy Wyatt vs. Brian Ash (c)
- This is the first time the two greatest Heavyweight champions in 3XW history will face each other 1-on-1.
- Ash’s manager and the leader of Genesis, 3XW Commissioner Todd Countryman, is banned from the building!
- Ash is a three-time champion. Wyatt is the longest-reigning former champion ever (11 months),

”The World’s Fittest Wrestler” “The Ironman” Mark Sterling vs. "The Unbreakable" Zach Thompson (c)
- Rivalry has been building since Thompson shocked fans and assaulted Sterling at the end of the March event
- After months of ducking Sterling, Thompson finally has to battle him in singles competition
Women’s Wrestling Grudge Match!
Melanie Cruise vs. “The Modern Day Moolah” Malia Hosaka
- Two of the top names in the country, these two teamed at April’s Spring Showdown, but Cruise accidentally cost her team the match. Hosaka is convinced it was no accident and plans to use her veteran savvy to gain revenge on the impressive youngster.
First-ever Canadian Tuxedo Match!
"Sexier" AJ Smooth vs. "Smoother" Ryan Slade
- After Smooth had the assistance of outside interference to help him beat Slade in the first “Sideburns vs. Sideburns” match last month, Slade challenged his fellow Canadian and former tag team partner want this unique new match.
- A “Canadian Tuxedo” is traditionally an all-denim outfit. They’ll have to wear one during the match
- Don’t be fooled by the wave of denim; this is a serious fight. One fall to the finish, no allies at ringside and, most importantly, no disqualifications!

The American Bulldogs – “The American Fury” Jon West & Maddog McDowell with Skylar Pierce

- The American Bulldogs have been repeatedly attacked by the MMA and it has cost them wins. After many unofficial brawls, they finally meet in an official tag team attraction.

3XW Tag Team Championship Open Challenge! – 3XW Tag Team champions American Ground & Air (Ben Sailer & Nate Bash) have challenged any team in the Midwest!
Doors open for the 6 Year Anniversary Event at 7 p.m. (6:45 p.m. for advance ticket holders) for a 7:30 p.m. start time. All Play is located at 615 3rd St. in beautiful downtown Des Moines.
Fans are encouraged to join their favorite 3XW stars for the event after party at Fanatics Grille in the upper level of All Play. Start time will be immediately following the wrestling event.
Advance tickets for 3XW events are available at http://www.3XWrestling.com, All Play (615 3rd St.), Cup O’ Kryptonite (4521 Fleur Dr. in Des Moines), and Jay’s CD and Hobby (3315 S.E. 14th St.). Advance tickets are $12 adult general admission and $6 for kids 10 and under. Advance ticket holders get into the arena 15 minutes early to pick their seats. Tickets at the door the night of the event are $15 adult general admission but still only $6 for kids (free for kids 3 and under).

Founded in 2005, 3XWrestling, a Des Moines-based organization, has performed in front of thousands of fans across Iowa and been featured on KCWI TV, Des Moines Radio Group stations, Iowa Public Radio and in publications including the Des Moines Register, Juice, Cityview and Pro Wrestling Illustrated. 3XW events are held each month in Des Moines.
3XWrestling and its performers are also heavily involved with charity work, including regularly giving out complimentary tickets for events to area charities.
In February 2009, one-legged wrestling star Zach Gowen competed in 3XW and helped raise over $10,000 to help the family of a young man whose leg was amputated due to his battle with cancer. All proceeds from that event we're given to the family to offset medical costs, with every wrestler performing on a volunteer basis.
