LEGACY FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 7 PRELIMINARY CARD PREVIEW

By David Tees on 7/19/2011 12:18 PM
The up and coming Legacy Fighting Championships makes its debut on HDNet this Friday Night and they do so with a decent looking card. This particular card will feature some UFC and WEC veterans, along with a LFC Featherweight Title fight. This events preliminary card is filled with plenty of up and coming talent looking to shine on a bigger stage.

Kicking off the event is a featherweight division encounter as Tony Orozco (0-0-0) goes into battle against David McClung (1-3-0). Tony Orozco will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he has competed in the amateur MMA circuit. David McClung will be entering the fight riding a two fight losing streak, but this will be his first fight of 2011. Despite the lack of professional MMA experience, Tony Orozco has the skills to defeat David McClung.

Another set of featherweights are going to battle next as Alex Black (1-2-0) takes on the debuting Jared Chaffee (0-0-0). Alex Black has fought twice in the Legacy Promotions group, splitting both of those encounters there. Jared Chaffee will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he has spent time competing as an amateur. This fight is just like the first encounter previewed here as Jared Chaffee will start his professional career undefeated.

Even more featherweights are going to battle next as David Armas (0-0-0) will stand across the cage from Shelby Sheehan (0-0-0). David Armas will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he has spent time competing as an amateur. Jared Shelby Sheehan will be making his professional MMA debut in this fight, but he has spent time competing as an amateur. Of the two fighters, David Armas has more amateur MMA experience and that will help him earn his first professional victory.

Headlining this portion of the card is a light heavyweight battle as Jermaine Anugwom (0-0-0) takes on Larry Crowe (3-1-0). Jermaine Anugwom will be making his professional MMA debut here, but he hasn’t competed in any form of MMA fights in over two years. Larry Crowe enters this fight riding a two fight winning streak, with both wins coming in the International Xtreme Fight Association. The lack of in cage time is really going to hurt Jermaine Anugwom in his pro debut, which is why Larry Crowe will get the duke.
