APW GYM WARS RESULTS

All Pro Wrestling returns on Saturday, August 6th at The APW Garage for another TV Taping in Hayward, California. Final matches are set for another historic night of Gym Wars.

Also signed is a big tag-team match pitting Mikey Jay and Shane "Wild" West against Carnival Of Shadows members CORVUS and OMEGA. Jay has been wanting to get his revenge on CORVUS ever since the leader of The Carnival Of Shadows took him out of the semifinals of the 2011 APW Young Lions Cup. Will he do it?

The World Wide Internet Championship is one of the most prestigious championships in all of pro wrestling. APW is constantly getting flooded with e-mails and phone call from wrestlers around the world trying to get a shot at the Internet title. Recently, one of the most talented wrestlers from the Texas area, Dark Pegasus, contacted All Pro Wrestling looking for a title shot. This masked wrestler has an impressive win-loss record and also a very exciting high flying style. All Pro Wrestling Commissioner JJ Perez did not grant Dark Pegasus a shot at the Internet title, but he did book him to meet the former World Wide Internet Champion, "Out Of Control" Matt Carlos, in a number one contenders match in which the winner meets whomever will be the World Wide Internet Champion at the September 3rd APW Gym Wars event. This match has the potential to be a show stealer, as well as a very career making for Dark Pegasus. Matt Carlos is looking to get into position to regain the championship that he lost in May.

The "Cold War" ended many years ago, but it is just getting started here in All Pro Wrestling. The Darevko Brothers attacked "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson during his match with "Double D" Dave Dutra at our last Gym Wars event. As the Darevko Brothers double-teamed Kristofferson, Dalton Frost could not sit there and see his fellow Texan being jumped, so he ran out and joined the fight. All four men battled to the back. The War is on, and it continues on Saturday, August 6th.

Also signed in an exciting singles bout is A.J. Kirsch taking on "Rock Of Love" Billy Blade. Kirsch made a successful in-ring return to All Pro Wrestling against a very game Levi Shapiro. The former APW Tag-Team Champion looked stronger and faster then ever, and is focused on being successful in All Pro Wrestling and his ultimate goal of gaining a WWE contract.
Another former APW Tag-Team Champion, Billy Blade, has been winless since his return to All Pro Wrestling, but each and every bout he gets closer and closer to scoring the three count. Nobody should take this long time veteran of the squared circle lightly. If Blade scores a victory over Kirsch, that will put him up quickly on top of the rankings here in All Pro Wrestling.

APW play-by-play announcer Jon Roberts, through his sources, has found that that JECKLES has told all the members of The Carnival Of Shadows that he wants Thatcher to never to challenge for his APW Universal Heavyweight Championship. You only have to look at the history between JECKLES and Thatcher to remember it was Thatcher who ended the Jester's reign as World Wide Internet Champion back in January of 2009.
"The British Messiah" has made no secrets about his goal is to win the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship, and now that JECKLES is the champion, it would be bittersweet for him to take the belt from the monster who tried to end his career with a Joke-Slam onto the concrete floor this past spring.

At the 2011 APW Young Lions Cup Tournament, a mysterious masked man in black attacked Will Rood, seriously injuring his neck with a DDT. A month later it was revealed that the masked man was "Double D" Dave Dutra. Frustrated with his position in the title picture in APW, "Double D" double-crossed his friends to get noticed and make himself relevant again. Dutra gloated that Will Rood would never step foot inside an All Pro Wrestling ring ever again. However, last month Will Rood made his return, showing "Double D" that he is here to stay.
After suffering that serious neck injury, Will Rood went to physical therapy, thinking about nothing but getting better and getting revenge on Dave Dutra. Rood had thought of Dutra as a mentor; someone who he could get advice about being a rookie and all the struggles a rookie goes through, but he never thought Dutra would try to use him as a stepping stone. On Saturday, August 6th at Gym Wars, Rood plans on using "Double D" as a stepping stone and running him out of All Pro Wrestling.

Rik Luxury and Mr. Wrestling #4 have crossed many of times in All Pro Wrestling, and each time, Mr. Wrestling #4 has always gotten the best of Luxury. That said, this is 2011, and Luxury is now the World Wide Internet Champion and has been on a roll like never before in All Pro Wrestling.
Mr. Wrestling #4 is a former World Wide Internet titleholder, but hasn't had the gold since October of 2010. With his war with Perry Von Vicious and Matthew Theall over, the masked marvel is looking to get back on top with a championship.
Can Rik Luxury overcome his kryptonite, or will Mr. Wrestling #4 once again have Luxury's number?

Last month, Dylan Drake was defeated for the Universal title, dropping the strap to JECKLES following interference from Perry Von Vicious. Many people will be shocked know that Dylan Drake actually did not originally wish to exercise his his rematch clause for a return match against JECKLES. First, Dylan Drake wanted to get revenge on the men who cost him the title, Perry Von Vicious, as well as his manager Matthew Theall. Negotiations fell apart as PVV did not want to sign a contract to meet Drake. Matthew Theall said that his client has a vacation scheduled and that he would not be able to make the August 6th Gym Wars date. Dylan Drake, and everyone involved in the negotiations strongly feel PVV is avoiding Drake at all costs.
Unable to get his match with PVV, Drake then went forward and took his rematch against JECKLES. Last month, JECKLES took full advantage of the interference by Theall and PVV, hitting the Joke-Slam on the unconscious Drake and pinning him to become a two-time Universal Heavyweight Champion. JECKLES, who has looked nearly superhuman since joining The Carnival Of Shadows, showed signs of being human against the now-former champion.
Last month, these two men were in a back-and-forth, hard-hitting classic that lived up to the hype. Expect nothing less this month at Gym Wars!
Can Dylan Drake stay focused on regaining the APW Universal Heavyweight title from JECKLES instead of thinking about revenge on Perry Von Vicious and Matthew Theall, or will JECKLES solidify his dominance in All Pro Wrestling by once again defeating Dylan Drake?
Matthew Theall says he will have a BIG surprise to all the APW wrestling fans on August 6th. No word yet if his client Perry Von Vicious will be at Gym Wars.
