Victory Crown Championship Wrestling presents "Quest for the Crown 2,” where VCCW’s first champion will be crowned. Combining modern day wrestling combat with an old school vibe, VCCW is reminiscent of the glory days of Texas wrestling, when the Von Erichs were gods and no one was more hated than the Freebirds.
The hard-hitting, professional wrestling combat is scheduled for Saturday night, August 6, with a 7:30 pm Bell time. “Quest for the Crown 2” takes place at the South Side Music Hall and Events Center at Gilley’s Dallas.
Making a special appearance will be the legendary Killer Karl Kox. Kox, who won dozens of championships including the World Tag Team Title with fellow Texas Legend Fritz Von Erich, rarely makes appearances at professional wrestling shows, so Victory Crown is thrilled that he will not only be on hand to present our champion with the Open Weight Championship belt, but will also sign autographs for our fans.
Scheduled to compete in the tournament is the returning Robert (R.D.) Evans. Evans, who won the tournament last year and has since left Texas to predominately wrestle on the East Coast, is returning to the Metroplex for the first time and claims he will take the Championship back East when he wins it.
Also vying for the championship will be Texas’ top wrestler for the last two years, “The Underground Icon” Scot Summers; NWA Hollywood star The 300 Pound Manimal; JT LaMotta; “The Beast” Franco D’Angelo; Andy Dalton; Michael Faith; and Rexx Reed.
Additional matches feature a women’s match between Jessica James and Lillie Mae, and tag team action featuring Phoenix’s Freak Squad vs. St. Louis’ Submission Squad.
