APW Gym Wars - August 6th, 2011 - RESULTS

What's Up APW Fans?!?
APW put together a truly HOT show last night at the Historic APW Garage, it was a "Hot August Night" as bodies were battered and bruised as each APW Wrestler stepped up their game in cementing their spot on the APW Roster. Here are the RESULTS:
-Before the show began, former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake rushed to the ring and demanded that Matthew Theall and his client, the 2011 Young Lions Cup Champion, Perry Von Vicious come out to receive a beating after costing Drake the championship to JECKLES at the July Edition of Gym Wars. PVV's Manager, Matthew Theall came out alone and reminded Drake that PVV was not at the APW Garage or even in the country. According to Theall, PVV was taking a much deserved vacation in Korea after costing Drake the championship.
-Drake was furious and tries going after Theall, but Theall revealed that he had a restraining order against Dylan Drake and if Drake even laid one finger on Theall, then Drake would be arrested and sent to jail. Drake snatched the restraining order, read the facts, crumbled it up and threw it at Theall! Drake warned Theall that he and PVV better stay out of his business. Drake would also go on and say that the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship would be around his waist after he defeats JECKLES in the Main Event tonight!
1) Sheik Khan Abadi defeated "The Unorthodox Jew" Levi Shapiro with the Shia Crescent!
2) Shane "Wild" West and Mikey Jay defeated The Carnival of Shadows (OMEGA and CORVUS) with DARKNESS, when Mikey Jay pinned CORVUS following the Party Crasher!
-Before the third match, Matthew Theall returned to the ring to announce that tonight, he has signed a NEW client to APW and he was going to dominate All Pro Wrestling.
3) Damien Grundy with Matthew Theall defeated Brian Tyler following a crushing Powerbomb!
-Matthew Theall once again got on the microphone and demanded the APW Fans to take notice that Damien Grundy was the new force to be reckoned with in APW. Theall would then challenge anyone in the APW Locker Room to step into the ring to face the dominate Damien Grundy one-on-one in an Open Challenge!
-Who accepted the challenge? None other than former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake!
4) Dylan Drake defeated Damien Grundy with Matthew Theall by Disqualification, when Theall hit Drake at the back of his head with his golf club when Grundy was locked in Drake's Bay to Breaker!
-The referee called for the bell and Grundy was disqualified. As Drake tried to attack Theall from behind, the aggressive Grundy began an intense attack on Drake, which included massive shoulder tackles in the corner of the ring and a lethal Bear Hug! Drake would be carried out of the arena by Security and Staff!
-Before the next match, APW Ring Announcer Donovan Troi updated the APW Faithful that Dark Pegasus would not be able to compete tonight due to transportation issues, which resulted in him canceling his match against "Out of Control" Matt Carlos for the #1 Contendership for the APW World Wide Internet Championship. Troi asked Matt Carlos to enter the ring to speak about the cancellation of their match.
-Matt Carlos entered the ring with great support from the fans; Carlos started that he has always been a fighting competitor and that he was willing to defend the #1 Contendership in a different match tonight on Gym Wars! As Carlos went to speak more, Mikey Jay came out from the back, soon to be joined by Shane "Wild" West! Mikey Jay said that it would be an honor to wrestle Matt Carlos for the #1 Contendership because of their Boot Camp experience together and his history with "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury. Shane West would say he wants the opportunity because has never been giving a shot to challenge for the Internet Championship and he wanted to make his APW moment!
-APW Championship Committee Member John LaRocca got on a microphone and announced that APW Commissioner J.J. Perez sent him a text message during the interview in the ring and agreed that all three men should wrestle tonight to determine a NEW #1 Contender in a Triple Threat Match!
5) AJ Kirsch defeated "The Rock of Love" Billy Blade following a picture perfect Flying Elbow Drop!
6) "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher defeated BLACKWELL with DARKNESS, following an impressive Roll-Up!
7) Will Rood defeated "Double D" Dave Dutra through a Reverse Decision by APW Senior Referee Sparkey Ballard!
-Dave Dutra originally had the match won by Knockout and was announced as the winner of the match, but following the announcement Dutra continued to DDT Will Rood into the mat. Senior Referee Sparkey Ballard ordered Dutra to stop the vicious attack after the match, but refused to follow orders!
-The decision was reversed and Dutra completely snapped, DDT-ing Will Rood for a third time! Championship Committee Member John LaRocca entered the ring furious that Dutra ignored Sparkey Ballard's orders and didn't care about the career of Will Rood. Dutra told LaRocca to mind his own business. LaRocca got into Dutra's face and demanded that he stop the attack and leave Will Rood alone! LaRocca also told Dutra that he has changed and isn't the same man that everyone used to respect and believe in - the same man that was LaRocca's Best Man in his wedding.
-Dutra pushed LaRocca down and began stomping on LaRocca with fierce anger. AJ Kirsch rushed to the ring and prevented Dutra from doing any more damage to his friend and former E.G.O. manager John LaRocca. As AJ was helping his friend, Dutra reentered the ring and snapped DDT-ed AJ right into a steel chair! LaRocca watched in horror has his former best friend laid out another one of his best friends in a blink of an eye. LaRocca was helpless as he tried recollecting himself. LaRocca did manage to spit in Dutra's face, but Dutra just spat right back and told the APW Faithful that its all about "Double D" Dave Dutra!
-Security and Staff helped John LaRocca, AJ Kirsch and Will Rood to the back following their brutal attacks they sustained by "Double D" Dave Dutra.
8)"Out of Control" Matt Carlos vs. Shane "Wild" West vs. Mikey Jay in a Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match for the APW World Wide Internet Championship ended in a 15-Minute Time Limit Draw!
-In what has to be one of the best matches in 2011, Matt Carlos, Shane West and Mikey Jay truly left everything in the ring as these three warriors battled to see who would face the APW Internet Champion at a future Gym Wars Event. At the end of the 15 minutes, no man was able to defeat another, but left the fans jaw-dropped with their spectacular double team maneuvers, their high-risk skills and their passion to win. All three men proved they are serious competition to the Internet Champion!
9) The Sons of Texas ("The Hangman" Dalton Frost and "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson) vs. The Darevko Brothers ("The Siberian Spirit" Sasha and "The Russian Wolf" Alexis) brawled to a Double Count-Out!
-The Sons of Texas and the Russian Darevko Brothers clashed in the middle of the ring, but neither team was able to get the upper hand. As the match got heated, the action eventually lead to the outside. All four men clobbered one another and ignored the referee's 10-count! The match resulted in a Double Count-Out, but neither team gave up the fighting. All four men fought all the way to the back - these men still have unfinished business!
-Before the Internet Championship Match, APW Executive Producer Paul Adams received a text message from APW Commissioner J.J. Perez. APW Ring Announcer Donovan Troi read the message, which said that Dylan Drake would NOT compete tonight in the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship Match! His replacement? "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher!!
10) "Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury (c) with Markus Mac, defeated Mr. Wrestling #4 with the Luxury Alignment in a APW World Wide Internet Championship Match!
-Before the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship Match, the champion, JECKLES came out with CORVUS and DARKNESS and told the APW Faithful and to Timothy Thatcher that tonight Thatcher will NOT get a championship match! JECKLES would say that the contract was signed ONLY for JECKLES vs. Dylan Drake!
-APW Commissioner J.J. Perez came on the Pacific Coast Tron and tell APW Faithful that even though JECKLES was NOT in command of making matches, it was true that the contract was signed only for Drake vs. JECKLES for the title. J.J. Perez said that tonight's match between JECKLES and Thatcher would now by a NON-TITLE MATCH!
11) "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher defeated APW Universal Heavyweight Champion JECKLES with CORVUS and DARKNESS in a NON-TITLE MATCH when Thatcher rolled JECKLES up for the 1 - 2 - 3!
-When the referee was distracted, DARKNESS threw a chair too far into the ring for JECKLES to eliminate Timothy Thatcher. As JECKLES went for the chair, the clever Thatcher rolled the champion up and got the pinfall victory! Thatcher slid out of the ring following his win and the fans erupted with cheers - The Carnival of Shadows however were left with much defeat as JECKLES and CORVUS began yelling at DARKNESS for her error.
INJURY UPDATES:
APW Championship Committee Member John LaRocca - sustained minor injuries and should be able to return to duties in the next few days.
AJ Kirsch - sustained major head trauma following Dutra's attack and is expected to be out of actions for a few weeks until further examinations can be done.
Will Rood - sustained major head trauma following Dutra's attack and his condition is unknown at this time until further examinations can be done.
Dave Dutra - sustained minor injuries in his match with Will Rood and should be able to return to duties in the next couple of days.
Dylan Drake - sustained major injuries to his ribs following Grundy's attack and is expected to be out of action for a few weeks until further examinations can be done.
