EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL TO PREVENT FIRST PRO WRESTLING EVENT

PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING COMES TO THE EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL!
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival (The Fringe) is the world’s largest arts festival, embracing theatre, comedy, dance, music and And everything in between, but in 2011, The Fringe welcomes it's first Professional Wrestling show to it's roster of top-class programming.
On Monday August 15th, The Pleasance Courtyard (Venue 33) will welcome "THE WRESTLING".
A Pleasance, Max and Ivan and Ditto Productions presentation, world-class wrestlers will meet world-class comedians in a late night, heart-pounding, edge-of-your seat spectacular. For one night only the Edinburgh Fringe will be turned upside-down, as punch-lines meet clotheslines in an epic and extraordinary battle of Good versus Evil.
Rules will be broken. Blood may be spilt. Explosions will definitely happen. A line up of some of the countries most well loved comedians will lock up with some of the fiercest wrestlers that the UK has to offer.
THE WRESTLING

When he was 15, Max Olesker, of comedy duo Max and Ivan, was the youngest pro wrestler in the UK under the name of "The Human Dynamo" Max Voltage, working for promotions such as FWA (Frontier Wrestling Alliance) and 1PW (One Pro Wrestling). On the night of the 15th he will be donning his spandex one more time and joining battle with world class wrestlers, with a host of Heroes and Villains, reporters and live musicians played by a host of Fringe stars.
Other wrestlers currently scheduled to appear are:
PAC: "The Man Gravity Forgot", a regular for Dragon Gate, Dragon Gate USA and many promotions in the UK and around the world, including a recent return to Pro Wrestling Guerilla. He's the current Dragon Gate ""Open The Brave Gate" Champion and one half of DG:USA's "Open The United Gate" Champions.
Mark Haskins: "The Star Attraction" appeared only this past month facing Doug Williams on Impact Wrestling's "Destination X" PPV, as well as appearing on the 2011 Impact Wrestling UK tour.
"Vigilante" Johnny Moss: Coming in at 6'2" and 245lbs, Moss has has wrestled up and down the UK and all around the world, recently taking part on Impact Wrestling's 2011 UK tour, losing to Jeff Jarrett in Wembley Arena, as well as recent work with the NWA in both the UK and US.
Dan "The Hammer" Head: This mainstay of the UK Wrestling scene is a former Tag Team partner of Max Voltage and is just as likely to fly around the ring.
Rishi Ghosh: "The Prince Of Mumbai" picks and chooses when he wrestles and who for, gracing Premier Promotions in the UK the honour of his presence. He is also a highly experienced martial artist, with a 2nd Dan Judo Black Belt and high knowledge of Kung Fu and Kickboxing.
Dave Mastiff: The "Human Hate Machine" will come at you with the power of a train, standing at 6'0" and the region of 330 lbs. He recently appeared for Pro Wrestling NOAH during their UK tour of May 2011, losing a GHC Heavyweight Title match to Takashi Sugiura in the main event.
"Tango" Tim Wylie: "Tango" Tim has worked in promotions the length and breadth of Britain since making his debut in 2006.
However, on this unique night of wrestling a comedy, there will be some comedians joining in on the action:
Colin Hoult (BBC 3's "Russell Howard's Good News") as "The Mighty Thwor, God of Thwunder"
Tom "Explosenthal" Rosenthal (Channel 4's Friday Night Dinners)
Patrick "The Cuddler" Monahan (ITV's "Show Me The Funny")
"The Vinyl Solution" Humphrey Ker (BBC 2's "Fast And Loose")
Comedians who will also be appearing as managers in every match, to laying the smack talk down on their opponents include Angelos Epithemiou (BBC 2's Shooting Stars), Rich Fulcher (The Mighty Boosh) Jess Ransom (BBC 1's Armstrong And Miller Show and ITV's Doc Martin) and Abandoman (Ireland's "seventh biggest hip-hop crew") as well as the Team Captains for Good and Evil.
Leading the good guys will be 2010 Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner, Russell Kane while the evil-doers will be led by one of the most brilliant up-and-coming comedy talents in the UK, Adam Riches.
On the night itself, in the 750-seater "Grand" venue of The Pleasance Courtyard, there will LIVE commentary from the legendary pairing of Brendon Burns (making his ONLY appearance at this year's Fringe especially for this show) and Andrew Maxwell (Sky 1's Wall Of Fame).
