JOHNNY DEVINE THANKS SPW OFFICIALS – After a year away from the ring former TNA X-Division Champion Johnny Devine returned to the squared circle with his SPW debut gaining victories over Marius and Spanky as well as winning a 6-way Steeltown Showdown. Devine thanked SPW officials for their hospitality and hopes to return in the near future.
SPW RETURNS TO SELKIRK - Steeltown Pro Wrestling returns to the Selkirk Memorial Hall (376 Jemima Street) in Selkirk, Manitoba on Saturday September 24th! LA SOMBRA DEFEATS JOHNNY DEVINE, CEMENTS HIS STATUS – La Sombra was on a roll during SPW’s triple shot weekend retaining the SPW Tag Team Titles on Friday, winning the 2011 Red River Rumble on Saturday and becoming the 2nd annual Kerry Brown Memorial Tournament winner on Sunday with a huge victory over former TNA X-Division Champion Johnny Devine in the finals. As a result La Sombra has been named the official #1 contender to the SPW Heavyweight Title.
HIT ME BABY ONE MORE TIME RESULTS (08/12/11) - “Wild Child” Jerin Rose defeated Sydney Manson to retain the SPW Provincial Championship; Marius defeated “Big Rig” Shawn Northstar; “Misfit” Mike Mission defeated Jay Beaver; Mystik Sexton defeated Kendra Koas in women’s wrestling action; Rick Matthews defeated “Really Crazy” Rob Stardom; La Sombra & Gibby Guerrero defeated Jay Lanza & Mr. Nasty to retain the SPW Tag Team Titles; Matt Fairlane won the Rapid Rumble for a SPW Heavyweight Title Match later in the evening; “Iron” Ike Idol defeated “Classic” Matt Fairlane to retain the SPW Heavyweight Title; SYKO defeated Chip Fletcher in a Last Man Standing Match after outside interference by Mr. Nasty.
RED RIVER RUMBLE RESULTS (08/13/11) - Chip Fletcher & Jethro Hawg defeated “Really Crazy” Rob Stardom and Samuel; Ann Brookstone and Mystik Sexton went to a no-contest; Mike Mission defeated Mr. Nasty; 24/7 (Nacho Slurpee & Super Big Gulp) defeated SYKO & Jay Beaver, Big Cliff & Reggie Gallagher and Tommy Lee Curtis & Brian Rich in a 4-way Elimination Tag Team Match; “Classic” Matt Fairlane & Mystik Sexton defeated Rick Matthews & Ann Brookstone in an inter-gender tag team match; “Iron” Ike Idol defeated La Sombra to retain the SPW Heavyweight Title; Doink the Wrestling Clown defeated Spanky; Johnny Devine defeated Marius; La Sombra won the 2011 Red River Rumble to become #1 Contender to the SPW Heavyweight Title.
