APW GYM WARS RESULTS

The September Edition of Gym Wars was high-impact action from top to bottom, and each competitor left everything in the ring as APW rolls into Halloween Hell XIV! Champions were crowned, the action was intense and a Carnival crumbled. Let’s get to the Full Results!

The show opens with both Donovan Troi and Jason Anderson being interrupted by the self-professed “Greatest Mind in Professional Wrestling” Matthew Theall entering the ring and stating to the APW Faithful that he had a restraining order against Dylan Drake and that the former champion could not touch him unless he wanted to spend the rest of his career behind bars.

After going on and on about his great acquisition of new client Damien Grundy and his other client Perry Von Vicious, former Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake entered the ring to settle the score against Theall one-on-one. Before Drake was able to punish Theall, PVV and Damien Grundy rushed to the ring and began a brutal assault on Dylan Drake. As things looked grimed for the former champion, Mr. Wrestling #4 entered the fray and even out the battle against Theall and his clients. The four men tried crushing the other, but no one team was able to get the upper hand. Theall, PVV and Grundy slid out of the ring leaving Drake and #4 to ponder their Tag Team Match later in the evening.

1) Sheik Khan Abadi & The Suburban Commandos (D-Unit & T-Rent) defeated The Carnival of Shadows (BLACKWELL, CORVUS & OMEGA) w/DARKNESS when Sheik Khan Abadi pinned CORVUS following the Shia Crescent in a 6-Man Tag Team Match!!

The APW Faithful were treated to an amazing opening contest as The Carnival of Shadows battled Sheik Khan Abadi and the returning Suburban Commandos. All six men laid hard shots to one another and no one man wanted to give up. What was unique about this match was the miscommunication between BLACKWELL and the rest of The Carnival of Shadows. Throughout the match, BLACKWELL seemed uninterested to compete with his fellow allies, but in other instances the big man from Stone Mountain, Georgia would try decimating all those he was in the ring with.

The returning Suburban Commandos picked up from where they left off and showed some truly remarkable tag team maneuvers on The Carnival that left everyone in the APW Garage breathless. The end came after the Commandos laid CORVUS out with a modified Double-Team German Suplex, which left “The Puppet Master” wondering where he was. As CORVUS tried attacking Sheik in the corner, Sheik was able to move out of the way as the big BLACKWELL came crashing with a Corner Splash originally for the Sheik. The Commandos were able to dispose of OMEGA and BLACKWELL as Sheik connected with the Shia Crescent for the 1-2-3! The Commandos and Sheik celebrated their hard fought victory, leaving the confused Carnival of Shadows in the ring.

CORVUS began a yelling tirade on BLACKWELL for his changed behavior and the fact that BLACKWELL was not following directions. BLACKWELL did not want to hear what CORVUS had to say and left the ring! The remaining members looked with anger as things seem to be crumbling from within.

2) “The Rock of Love” Billy Blade defeated “Bad Boy” Brad Tyler with a modified Invertabreaker!

Before the match began, former APW Tag Team Champion “The Rock of Love” Billy Blade told the APW Faithful that he has turned himself around and is ready to break the barriers and capture his first singles championship in APW. Blade seemed more intense than ever before and said that tonight was the first of many victories for “The Rock of Love!”

Blade and “Bad Boy” Brad Tyler fought in a quick pace battled that saw Tyler using his quick feet and momentum to try and capitalize against the slower brawler that is Blade. As Tyler tried hitting an off the top rope maneuver, Blade evaded the attack, trapped the young competitor in his grasp and delivered a devastating Invertabreaker like maneuver for the pinfall victory!

3) “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson defeated “The Russian Wolf” Alexis Darevko with a Spear!

Originally planned to be a series of matches including “The Hangman” Dalton Frost and “The Siberian Spirit” Sasha Darevko, news was announced that both Frost and Sasha Darevko were not able to compete tonight due to injury and illness. The battle would now be between Jody Kristofferson and Alexis Darevko – the winner being able to pick the stipulation for their Tag Team Match at Halloween Hell XIV!

In a brutal match between two of APW’s rugged brawlers, the quicker Jody Kristofferson was able to dish out his own barrage of hard hits against the very focused Alexis Darevko. Darevko would manage to hit his trademarked Russian Leg Sweep, but was unable to get the pinfall victory. As the action spilled to the outside, the APW Faithful had to move out of the way before they too would be hit by these focused competitors.

As the action returned to the ring, Jody managed to connect with a destructive Spear on “The Russian Wolf” and gain the 1-2-3! As the big Russian began to leave the ring, Jody announced to the fans that at Halloween Hell, The Sons of Texas would battle The Darevko Brothers in an old-school Texas Bunkhouse Stampede Match! No rules, come dressed as you are, bring whatever weapon you want – only way to win is by pinfall!

Jason Anderson entered the ring and updated the APW Faithful that Will Rood was here tonight to announce his condition following the brutal fall he took against “Double D” Dave Dutra at the August Edition of Gym Wars. Will Rood soon entered the ring with a wave of support from the fans. Rood explained that his doctors warned him that another serious attack to his head could force Rood to retire from professional wrestling indefinitely. As Rood wanted to speak more about his current issues with Dave Dutra, Dutra himself entered the APW Garage to announce his petition to impeach APW Championship Committee Member John LaRocca following his actions at last months Gym Wars.

Dutra would soon enter the ring and demand the time to speak about the issues bothering him! Dutra wants to impeach John LaRocca following his interference after the match between Dutra and Rood and demand the attention he deserves as “APW’s Biggest Star!” This promoted John LaRocca to also come out, who apologized to the APW Faithful for his choice of language last month and told the fans that he was sick and tired of Dutra trying to end the career of Will Rood. Dutra did not seem interested in LaRocca’s words, until LaRocca announced a special message to Dutra and the rest of the APW fans.

WWE Tough Enough Competitor AJ Kirsch came onto the big screen and challenged “Double D” Dave Dutra to a one-on-one match at Halloween Hell! Kirsch would also say that things for Dutra would get extremely messy come Halloween Hell because Kirsch was determined to defeat Dutra and beat the living hell out of him following the brutal DDT to a steel chair Kirsch received from Dutra the previous month! Dutra would go on an accept the challenge, but LaRocca had another thing up his sleeve – at Halloween Hell, the match would have a Special Guest Referee – Will Rood!

As LaRocca exited the ring, Dutra would level Rood out with a devastating DDT! Jason Anderson and John LaRocca would re-entered the ring, as Dutra reminded the world that he was ready for whatever APW would throw at him and that he would see AJ Kirsch at Halloween Hell!

4) “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury w/Markus Mac retains the APW World Wide Internet Championship against “Out of Control” Matt Carlos, Mikey Jay and Shane “Wild” West in a Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match, when the match ended in a 30 minute draw!!

Not enough words can be written to explain how intense this match was from beginning to end. All four competitors were determined to leave Hayward California as the APW Internet Champion! But at the end of the 30 minutes, only Rik Luxury would walk away with the title, but under a time limit draw and three men still hungry for the chance to claim the gold.

The action was sizzling hot as two men would compete inside the ring, allowing for tags to be made in order to cycle through the other competitors. Luxury found himself in a ring with lions as each man kicked, punched and slammed the champion harder and harder in order to be deemed a champion. Former APW Internet Champion Matt Carlos would be “Out of Control” as well, as he knew what it takes to be a champion in APW and he was not ready to give up in a high profiled match like this one. Rising Stars Mikey Jay and Shane West would leave their tag team ambitions to the side, as both young men knew that their APW Moment was right in front of their eyes!

The action would spill all around the ring, and no one person seemed to have the advantage throughout the contest. As Markus Mac and Rik Luxury watched the competitors in the ring, Markus would instruct Luxury on how to attack the others when he reentered. As Luxury tried to use every trick in the book to eliminate the younger competition, the passion and determination of these young lions proved too much, as Luxury was never able to capitalize on any of them.

The action would be so heated, a “Chopping War” began with the competitors and each man jockeying for position. What was so amazing with this match-up was that all four men knew each others strengths and weaknesses and seemed to have counters for every move! As the 30 minutes were about to be exhausted, Shane West was caught on the top rope – which lead to Matt Carlos and Mikey Jay trying to connect with a Double Team Superplex! The savvy veteran Rik Luxury slid in for the kill as he brought the other three competitors crashing down with a breathtaking maneuver, which saw Luxury Powerbomb Mikey Jay and Matt Carlos, and Jay and Carlos Superplexing Shane West!! All four men were lifeless, as the APW fans couldn’t believe what they just saw!

As the 30 minutes came closer and closer, the action remained intense, as each man tried eliminating the other. Each move, each counter, each roll-up would lead to no elimination and Luxury seemed the most frustrated as he was the champion fighting off three very determined lions! The APW Faithful watched very closely as eliminations seemed close as the four competitors seemed drained from all the action, but neither man was ready to give up! Shane “Wild” West was able to connect with the 450 Splash!! No Elimination! “Out of Control” Matt Carlos hit the Union Landing!! No Elimination! Mikey Jay connected with the Party Crash!! No Elimination! “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury hit the Luxury Alignment!! No Elimination!

Time was over – and no one man was the winner, but due to a time limit draw, Rik Luxury retained the APW Internet Championship – a championship wanted by many and only held by one. As the men cleared the ring, APW Ring Announcer Donovan Troi informed the fans, that he received word from the Championship Committee and that the Fatal 4 Elimination Match for the APW Internet Championship was RESIGNED for Halloween Hell XIV!! This time – all four competitors will be in the ring at once and there will be NO TIME LIMIT! Which competitor will walk out of Halloween Hell as champion?

5) TheAll Stars (Perry Von Vicious & Damien Grundy) w/Matthew Theall defeated Dylan Drake & Mr. Wrestling #4 when Grundy decimated #4 with a Massive Clothesline when #4 was attacking PVV!

Matthew Theall and his clients, the 2011 Young Lions Cup Champion Perry Von Vicious and the gargantuan Damien Grundy battled for APW Internet Champion Mr. Wrestling #4 and former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake in a classic Tag Team Match.

Theall and his clients have been ruining the lives of Mr. Wrestling #4 and Dylan Drake for a numbers of months now. After winning the Young Lions Cup Tournament, Theall and PVV found it disrespectful when Mr. Wrestling #4 did not raise PVV’s arm in victory many times as Theall ordered. #4 was tired of being pushed around and ordered around by PVV and Theall and took the action directly to them. Fast forward a few weeks, Theall and PVV would lose a Handicap Match to #4, who delivered a picture-perfect Million Dollar Kneelift to Theall to secure a much-needed victory. On that same night, Theall and PVV would cost Dylan Drake the Universal Heavyweight Championship when they interfered and put Drake to sleep with the Billion Dollar Blackout! Drake would go on to lose the title to JECKLES of The Carnival of Shadows.

According to Theall, he ruined the main event of Gym Wars because the APW Faithful laughed, mocked and humiliated him after his loss to Mr. Wrestling #4. Theall would also say he trained for weeks for the match-up and that the fans disrespected him and he was going to make them pay – which in a way he did by ruining the main event picture which included Dylan Drake.

Last month, Dylan Drake was scheduled for a rematch for the Universal Title, but first wanted to deal with PVV and Matthew Theall. Theall would remind Drake that PVV was on vacation in Korea and was unable to compete at the August Edition of Gym Wars. As Drake wanted to attack Theall, Theall revealed a Restraining Order! Later in the night, Theall would unveil his newest acquisition, the gargantuan Damien Grundy! Grundy would make short work of “Bad Boy” Brad Tyler with a body-crushing Powerbomb! Theall would then create an Open Challenge, which was accepted by Dylan Drake. Though Dylan Drake nearly had Grundy tapping out to the Bay to Breaker, Theall injected himself into the ring and caused the Disqualification, which also allowed big Grundy to strike! Drake would be taken out of action for the evening and removed from the title picture for the Universal Heavyweight Championship.

Tonight on Gym Wars, Mr. Wrestling #4 teamed with Dylan Drake to finally rid APW of the egotistical Matthew Theall and his clients PVV and Grundy! The action was quick yet fierce as the savvy #4 used his technical prowess to outsmart PVV. When PVV seemed eager to tap out, the big Grundy was there to make the save, but the energetic Dylan Drake was not too far away from cutting the big man down to size!

As PVV tried locking in his Billion Dollar Blackout, #4 was able to shimmy his way out of the lock and lock his own Figure Four Leglock! Matthew Theall tried getting involved with his trusty golf putter and climbed the apron, Dylan Drake went to stop the sneaky manager, but big Grundy rushed over like a locomotive and laid #4 out with a Massive Clothesline! PVV was able to go for the pin cover and get the 1-2-3! TheAll Stars stole a victory tonight as Dylan Drake and #4 were surprised that a group led by Theall outsmarted them. The heated rivalry between these five men seems prime to continue into Halloween Hell!

6) “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher defeated JECKLES by submission with the Thatcher Stretch to WIN the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship!!

As the competitors entered the ring, Senior Official Sparkey Ballard banned CORVUS and DARKNESS from ringside due to the importance of the match! JECKLES was left alone to battle Timothy Thatcher, a man who defeated JECKLES at last months event will a roll-up!

JECKLES started the match with hard-hitting Forearms, which Thatcher would counter with his own Forearms and Uppercuts. The action between these two competitors was fierce, brutal and very technical. JECKLES would try and use his strength advantage to crush Thatcher, but the sneaky Brit would lock some technical submission, which would leave the champion squirming for the ropes. As JECKLES seemed frustrated in his battle against Thatcher, the Carnival of Shadows Member laid Thatcher out with a direct Punch to the Face!

Thatcher would slowly regroup, which allowed the creepy JECKLES to begin delivering hard shots to Thatcher’s left shoulder. JECKLES would deliver hard boots, pounding shots with his fists and even lock in his own Arm Bars to the technical wrestler. Thatcher’s pain was evident through his facial expressions. The APW Faithful were completely supporting Thatcher, but with taking such devastating shots by the hands of JECKLES, no one knew for sure what was going to happen next.

As Thatcher regained to his feet, JECKLES tried charging forward, allowing Thatcher to counter and lock in his devastating Thatcher Stretch! JECKLES manage to crawl to the ropes, breaking the lock. JECKLES would again deliver face-cracking Forearms that left the fans looking away as Thatcher tried regaining his composure. As JECKLES seemed prime to retain the title, Thatcher reversed the Joke Slam into the Thatcher Stretch again! What was JECKLES to do?
BLACKWELL joined the stage area and looked on. JECKLES asked his ally to enter the ring and assist him in eliminating Thatcher from APW. BLACKWELL eventually went towards the apron, and Thatcher knocked the big man down. As JECKLES tried to capitalize, Thatcher once again locked in the deadly Thatcher Stretch and JECKLES has no room to move and only one thing to do – Tap Out!

The bell was rung and Thatcher was awarded the Universal Heavyweight Championship! The fans erupted out of their chairs with excitement as The Carnival of Shadows Era over APW finally came to a close – but the action wasn’t done yet. JECKLES, soon reunited with CORVUS, OMEGA and DARKNESS entered the ring to begin an assault with Thatcher. The Carnival pulverized Thatcher with straights kicks to the face, as well as fierce shots to his already battle-wounded shoulder. As things looked grim for Thatcher, BLACKWELL reentered the ring and seemed ready to eliminate Thatcher from All Pro Wrestling. As CORVUS demanded BLACKWELL eliminate Thatcher, BLACKWELL had a change of heart and decimated his own teammates!! CORVUS got pounded down, OMEGA got pounded down, DARKNESS got pounded down – but JECKLES came in and stopped the big man from getting too much momentum. As Thatcher was laid out, The Carnival of Shadows next target was BLACKWELL, who The Carnival turned their attention to, and with several kicks to the face and a massive Joke Slam from JECKLES – BLACKWELL saved Thatcher from complete elimination, but got eliminated as well. The Carnival of Shadows left without the Universal Heavyweight Championship and without their massive BLACKWELL.

Thatcher would soon regroup and aid Larry Blackwell back to his feet, the fans erupted with cheers, as it seems The Carnival of Shadows is finally crumbling and the future looks bright for both Larry Blackwell and NEW Universal Heavyweight Champion “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher!!
