The event was canceled when it was learned that promoter Chris Simon had failed to send deposits to the wrestlers as promised and apparently had no intention of doing so. It is speculated that Simon, who is based in the Houston area, was behind a similar stunt last year as a way to interact with wrestlers and play promoter.
The star-studded lineup was to include Midnight Express, Rock 'n Roll Express, Sunny, Davey Richards, Adam Pearce, Colt Cabana, Gunner, Tommy Dreamer, Luke Gallows, Bill Dundee, Jim Duggan, Heartbreak Express, and many more.
