NMRW Commissioner Jason Baines welcomed everyone and remembered September 11, 2001. He called out all of the wrestlers from the back and everyone stood as the show began with a 10 bell salute in remembrance of that tragic day.

In the first match, Johnny Fearless, 200 lbs from Atlantic City, met the Absolute Athlete Shaheem Ali, 236 lbs from Philadelphia. In a physical match that was back and forth with each wrestler taking as well as giving, Fearless pinned Ali at 7:21. Two wrestlers from the back ran out and assisted Ali in destroying Fearless but it didn’t change the fact that Fearless was the winner.

As “Hot Shot” Mike Reed, 225 lbs from Miami was being introduced to start the second match, Anthony Michaels and manager Missy Sampson stormed to the ring. Apparently their was some bad blood from the last show and without warning both attacked Reed and left him lying on the ring. Reed’s opponent was Luis “The Punisher” Martinez, 265 lbs from the Caribbean.  With Reed already weakened, it didn’t take long for the powerful Punisher to finisher the job pinning him with a choke slam in 2:01. Reed is eliminated from the Heavyweight Championship Tournament while the Punisher now moves to the finals.

In a tag team match the team of Empire (Prettboy Badazz Ty Reno and Eric Blackie Deshields) led by their manager Angel Pagon met Rockaset (Glenn Storms and Zach Lorenzo). In a wild, physical match that involved open cheating by both Storms and Lorenzo finally ended at 10:00 in a draw. Everyone seemed to be very disappointed by the outcome so NMRW Commissioner Jason Baines ruled that the match would go another 5 minutes. But all 4 wrestlers remained in the ring fighting and although the referee did his best to regain control he had to disqualify both teams. This match ended in a double DQ.  The Absolute Athlete Shaheem Ali and two other wrestlers came from the back to attack Empire gaining the early advantage. But, Empire was able to gain the advantage and send all three running back to the dressing room.

Robert Knight, 201 lbs from Los Angeles, met Xdogg Jake Bishop, 260 lbs from Philadelphia in the next match. These two ring veterans know each other very well having met many times before and each looked for an opening in the other’s plan of attack. At the 6:02 mark, Bishop found the opening and pinned Knight. Knight is eliminated from the Heavyweight Championship Tournament while the Bishop now moves to the finals later in the show against Luis “The Punisher” Martinez.

In another wild and rough tag team contest the Untouchables (Anthony Michaels and Mark Gore) accompanied by their manager Missy Sampson met the team of Officer Trevor  Williams, 300 lbs from the New York State Department of Corrections , and Steve Zapf, 215 lbs from Brick, NJ. It was obvious from the beginning that the Untouchables had the experience factor as tag team partners because their tags, knowledge of each other’s position in the ring as well as knowing how to take and use every short cut known to tag team wrestling which was defiantly in their favor. Plus Missy Sampson was very helpful to them as well as being a great distraction to both Williams and Zapf. At 7:33, the Untouchables won when Michaels pinned Zapf. At this point Williams turned on his own partner and started beating on Zapf while yelling things including “I trusted you!” The Untouchables move to the NMRW Tag Team Title Match.

NMRW Commissioner Jason Baines came out with the Veterans Alliance (Justin America, 200 lbs from Collingswood, NJ, and the American Roughneck, 250 lbs from the Heart of America). Baines told the Alliance that if they would win one match they would be a part of the NMRW Tag Team Title Match. This was exciting news especially for Justin America who assumed that they would automatically become champions. But he didn’t know who their opponents would be and they were the Nigerian Nightmares (Saifu and Maifu, 850 lbs from Lagos, Nigeria). These two men came out speaking in their native tongue sizing up their new surrounding looking for someone to devour. As they climbed into the ring, Justin America was now afraid for his life and not confident at all. America started against the Nightmares and foolishly tried to knock him down without success. After about a minute, he tagged the American Roughneck who had little success with them also. However, the American Roughneck fought and did the best that he could and when he came and tried to tag America back into the ring, Justin America jumped down off of the apron and walked to the back leaving the American Roughneck alone with the Nightmares. Without any real hope of victory, the Roughneck was pinned in 3:36. The Nigerian Nightmares will now meet the Untouchables in the NMRW Tag Team Title Match.

Next came the part of the show were history would be made as the first of the 3 NMRW belts; the United States Championship would be won. This would be accomplished in a Battle Royal. The winner of the Battle Royal would become the very first NMRW United States Champion. The participants in the battle royal were:
·           Robert Knight
·           Marcelas Knight
·           The Absolute Athlete Shaheem Ali
·           Justin America
·           Alex Cruz of Cruz Control
·           Marc Cruz of Cruz Control
·           Magnum XL
·           The Masked Boyer
·           Prettboy Badazz Ty Reno of Empire
·           Eric Blackie Deshields of Empire
·           Angel Pagon of Empire
·           The American Roughneck
·           Johnny Fearless
·           K. Pusha
·           Steve Zapf
·           Officer Trevor  Williams

These wrestlers all entered the ring knowing that the last one to survive would be the champion. Wrestlers were eliminated by being thrown over the top rope. Even with 2 referees at ring side, the pace of the match was fast and at times the refs weren’t able to see everything that happened. The American Roughneck was thrown through the ropes by Justin America but America claimed to the refs, who didn’t see it, that the Roughneck went over the top rope. Finally, at the 12:13, Robert Knight was the last wrestler standing and was declared the first ever NMRW United States Champion. Knight was very touched by this and shared that he waited 10 years to be a champion and that he would be a fighting champion defending the belt anytime and anywhere.

At this point, “Hot Shot” Mike Reed came out and attacked Knight and pinned him becoming the NEW NMRW United States Champion. As Reed stood in the ring, proud of his accomplishment holding up his belt, Knight left telling Reed that this wasn’t over.

In the Tag Team Championship Match, the Untouchables (Anthony Michaels and Mark Gore) accompanied by their manager Missy Sampson met the Nigerian Nightmares (Saifu and Maifu). This match was all Nightmares as the Untouchables weren’t able to do anything with their opponents from Nigeria. Both Michaels and Gore fought a much different type of match knowing that they couldn’t intimidate their opponents. Missy Sampson was not much help as her team was completely over powered and was herself the victim of being squashed by Saifu and Maifu while she stood in the center of the ring. At 5:37, Mark Gore was pinned and the Nigerian Nightmares became the first ever NMRW Tag Team Champions. They may have a long reign because they appear to be in a class of their own. Who will be able to win the title from them?

After the match, Mike Reed got some payback as he attacked and beat down Anthony Michaels.

The final match of the day was for the NMRW Heavyweight Championship and Xdogg Jake Bishop met Luis “the Punisher” Martinez. Bishop is a crafty veteran who knows how to use the ring while Martinez is a wrestler that only has one gear – forward and he punishes within the rules while in that gear. Each wrestler both gave a beating and also took a beating throughout the match. There were times in the match were the Xdogg appeared to be a little frustrated. Without either man having a distinct advantage, K. Pusha ran out from the back ran around the outside of the ring getting the Punisher’s attention. Bishop took advantage and rolled up the Punisher for a pin at 9:17 to become the new champion. Xdogg Jake Bishop became the first ever NMRW Heavyweight Champion.
