2CW RETURNING TO UPSTATE NEW YORK THIS WEEKEND, FULL DETAILS

By Mike Johnson on 9/15/2011 4:51 PM

Night One
2CW Heavyweight Championship
Challenger, Loca Vida vs Champion, Jay Freddie
Jay Freddie thought he could silence his critics with a tap-out win over Eddie Edwards in Binghamton, NY last month. Even with that huge title defense victory, there are still some doubters out there. He still hears the voices talking behind his back. He can read the messages on the internet stating he was lucky last month. Freddie knew that winning the 2CW heavyweight championship was only the beginning of that hard work. But was it going to be this hard?  Would the 2CW fans really accept him as champion? Well, most have, but not all. Going into this huge 2-night weekend, 2CW management only planned on one title defense, on night two against Sami Callihan. Freddie wouldn’t accept that. He wanted to prove to everyone that he can be a fighting champion. A champion that wouldn’t just settle on one challenge this weekend, but he would defend the title BOTH nights of the tour. Well, 2CW management agreed to the second title defense, and the most logical challenger would be the man who defeated the former 2CW champion last month, Loca Vida. With Loca’s big win over the former 2CW champion, SWB, he will take the match that SWB would probably have gotten if he hadn’t lost in Binghamton. Two great friends, and very popular wrestlers in 2CW, will face off one on one for the 2CW title. Loca has earned this shot; Freddie wants the very best competition to prove that he is a worthy champion. In Rome, NY, we see that battle for the championship. Who will come out on top and move on to night two against Sami Callihan?

2CW Tag Team Championship *No Countouts*
Challengers, Killer Steves (Steve McKenzie & Steve Kruz ???) vs Champions, The Olsen’s (Jimmy & Colin Olsen)
This rematch has the added stipulation that there will be NO countouts in this contest. However, now that “Mr. One Night Stand” Steve Kruz is out of action due to an injury, who knows what will happen in Rome for this tag team title match. I understand 2CW is working very hard to find a last minute replacement, but as of this writing, no one has been announced. Could “Studly” Steve McKenzie find a new partner and take the match still? Or will a whole new team be signed to face the champions? Keep up with www.2CW.com for updated information. Also search out the Facebook page for updated information as well.

Six-Man Tag Team Match
D-Generation X (Billy Gunn, Road Dogg & X-Pac) Team Suck It! (Kip & BG James and Sean Waltman vs First Class (Kevin "The Man" Graham, Punisher Vanslyke & ZS3)
This paragraph has been censored by the offices in New York, due to its excessive usage of trademarked terms owned by World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.

Eddie Edwards vs Sami Callihan
If you’re one of the “internet fans” that are out there, you must be drooling over the announcement when this match was made. Well, if you’re a fan of pro wrestling period, you must be ecstatic about this announcement. Former 2CW tag team champion, former ROH triple-crown winner, “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards will take on former CZW Iron-man champion, “The New Horror” Sami Callihan. Eddie is a proven commodity here in 2CW, a huge star almost anywhere he goes now-a-days. Sami is an up-and-comer, largely regarded as the next best in the world. Some would argue he’s already there, others would argue that his opponent, Eddie Edwards is the best in the world. Some would argue C.M. Pu…oh, sorry. This is also the very first meeting between both of these men. Word from the offices of 2CW is that both men are excited about this first-time ever clash. Both men want to showcase their abilities to the entire professional wrestling world, and this is a major way of doing it. The only question is now, who is the better man on this night?

"Slyck" Wagner Brown vs Edward Reyes
Former two-time 2CW heavyweight champion, Slyck Wagner Brown, will be taking on a debuting Edward Reyes. SWB is none-to-pleased with his loss in Binghamton last month, especially after losing the 2CW title in July. What is even more disturbing to the former champion is that he has lost his rematch opportunity to regain that championship. Not that SWB needed any more reason to be pissed off, the fact that Loca Vida is challenging for the 2CW title tonight and he isn’t, just makes The Underground King that much more pissed off. This news could prove to be very bad for the new comer Edward Reyes, who hails from the United Kingdom.

Isys Ephex vs Tommaso Ciampa
Another rematch, but this is from the June Funk U show. Tommaso is looking for a little revenge for his loss against Isys Ephex. They had a tremendous battle, in which Ciampa was brought in by “Muscle” Marcos to do his dirty work. However, the outcome wasn’t in either of those two men’s favor, as Isys was able to secure a win and get his rematch with Marcos. This time around, it is not Isys looking for the rematch, but his opponent. Will Tommaso be better prepared this time around? Will Isys take this challenge lightly, or be just as prepared as their last meeting? It should be a fun battle to watch unfold inside the squared circle.

Portia Perez vs ???
The Canadian Ninja is scheduled to be in Rome, NY this evening, but as press time, her opponent has not been announced. Messages to 2CW management have not be returned regarding this matter. The rumor that has been floating around is that no one has stepped up and signed a contract to face Ms. Perez. I tried to reach the former Shimmer tag team champion, but unless I want to mess with the “Juggernaut” Jason Axe, I was told to forget about contacting her now, or in the future. So as we get closer to bell time, who will show up and wrestle Portia here in Rome? Hopefully that question will have an answer soon enough.

Night two

2CW Heavyweight Championship
Challenger, Sami Callihan vs Champion, Jay Freddie / Loca Vida
This is written before this Cease & Desist tour began. Sami would have been through an extremely physical and tough match against “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards last night in Rome. And the champion would have been through a tough championship match against a good friend also. Who has come out on top? Which 2CW superstar has arrived here in Oswego with the 2CW championship? If you were in Rome last night, you’ll know. If you weren’t, you missed out. Could it be that the 2CW championship changes hands twice in one weekend? It wouldn’t be the first time, so we certainly know it is possible. Which of these three men will come out on top of this awesome two-night tour?!

2CW Tag Team Championship
Challengers, First Class (Punisher VanSlyke & Kevin Graham) vs Champions, The Olsen Twins
As of right now, the champions are still the Olsen Twins. Depending on the events of last evening in Rome, this could be a different story. It was stated during the announcement of Steve Kruz’ injury, that this match would be one team versus one team here in Oswego. That could certainly change again if a new team was given a title opportunity in the wake of the injury of one-half of the Killer Steves. One way or the other, First Class WILL get their tag team title shot here in Oswego against whom ever is the tag team champions. They just won’t have very long prep-time coming into their big title opportunity.

"Juggernaut" Jason Axe vs "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels
The longest reigning 2CW heavyweight champion, Jason Axe will be taking on an independent level legend in Christopher Daniels. “Fallen Angel” has been everywhere and seen it all. Daniels finally makes his debut in 2CW, right here in our return to Oswego, NY. We all know that Daniels loves the competition inside the wrestling ring. He demands it from everyone he wrestles and every promotion he works for. What a perfect place for the “Fallen Angel.” And what a debut he’ll make against “Juggernaut” Jason Axe. Jason is working on getting HIS 2CW title back, and he will get the attention of 2CW management by getting a win over this TNA superstar.

ZS3 vs Scotty THE Hotty
Scotty THE Hotty returns to 2CW after a long three-year absence. His last appearance was at our first Chick N’ Wing Festival from 2008. Now, he comes back to 2CW, our return to Oswego, to take on ZS3. ZS3 is the leader of First Class. ZS3 is possibly coming into this big match with a win over {CENSORED}. ZS3 feels he has to get a win here against Scotty. How would it look if his students walked out of Oswego with 2CW tag team titles, and he came up with a loss against for former WWE superstar?

Isys Ephex vs 2 Cold Scorpio
Everybody…here comes 2 Cold Scorpio! Scorpio returns to 2CW for the first time in many years. His feud with Slyck Wagner Brown has been stuff of legend around the 2CW circles. He returns to 2CW, as 2CW returns to Oswego. The last time we were here, Isys Ephex was facing off against Portia Perez in a rematch from their Watertown showdown. Now, the 2010 Grand Prix champion is preparing to take on the very intimating high-flyer from Denver, Colorado.  Scorpio is another of the great wrestlers who have traveled the world, seen everything there is to see. He’s wrestled in all the major US companies, WWE, WCW, ECW and most recently TNA last August. He’s a very tough customer, and is looking to show the world he still has what it takes to compete at the level he’s known for.

Sean Carr vs Cheech
If you were in Binghamton, NY on August 19, then you know that this rematch will be one to see. These two had a red-hot match in Sean Carr’s debut with 2CW. He earned that victory that night, but Cheech wants a second chance. He wants it on a fair playing field, so 2CW management signed this match for our return to Oswego here tonight. Sean Carr is just as excited about this chance as Cheech is getting his rematch. Sean proved a lot to the 2CW faithful in August, and he plans on doing it again tonight. Cheech has other plans for the newcomer. Who will come out on top?

Jay Freddie / Loca Vida vs "Muscle" Marcos
It is my understanding, based on the results of the 2CW title match from last night; this match will be a non-title match. The champion will face Sami in a 2CW title match. Whoever isn’t the champion, will take on “Muscle” Marcos in a one on one match. Don’t forget about Pete D Order and The Beast being at ringside. Whoever takes on “Muscle” will have a big challenge in front of them. Not only will Marcos be fresh, he will have his two partners in crime at ringside to cause as much trouble as they can. Will Loca or Freddie be to overcome this challenge? Will they be able to stay focused on this match after losing the championship match last night in Rome?
