SELKIRK SHOWDOWN – Steeltown Pro Wrestling presents Selkirk Showdown at the Selkirk Memorial Hall (376 Jemima Street, Selkirk, Manitoba) on Saturday September 24th, 2011. Advanced tickets are available at the Garry Theatre; tickets will be available at the door for $12. Doors will open at 6:30 PM and bell time is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
SPW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
“Classic” Matt Fairlane Vs “Iron” Ike Idol (c)
Two of SPW’s biggest and best heavyweights clash over the SPW Heavyweight Championship when “Classic” Matt Fairlane challenges reigning champion “Iron” Ike Idol at Selkirk Showdown. Fairlane looks to become a 2-time SPW Heavyweight Champion while Idol is intent on continuing his 6+ month reign as champion.
SPW PROVINCIAL TITLE MATCH
Marius Vs “Wild Child” Jerin Rose (c)
Originally scheduled to take place at Winnipeg Warfare 2011, after unforeseen circumstances this match was rescheduled for Selkirk Showdown. As a 2-time SPW Heavyweight Champion, Marius is looking to dethrone Jerin Rose and become the SPW Provincial Champion. Jerin Rose is currently the longest reining SPW Provincial Champion is company history.
SPW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
SYKO & Son of Syko Vs La Sombra & Gibby Guerrero (c)
Not much is known about the Son of Syko but if he’s anything like his supposed father, he’s deranged and fascinated by pain. SYKO is a former SPW Provincial Champion and once held the SPW Tag Team Titles so he’s looking to become a 2-time SPW Tag Team Champion. La Sombra and Gibby Guerrero have reigned as champions since May 2011, successfully defending the championships every month since. In terms of size and strength, this may be their biggest challenge since becoming champions.
