POWER TRIP WRESTLING UPDATES

By Mike Johnson on 10/6/2011 12:36 PM

Press Release : Bedfordshire based Power Trip Wrestling to dedicate 2012 to running charity & fundraising shows

Power Trip Wrestling are well known for their charity and fundraising work, since their beginning in 2007. It's something that is felt very strongly about, from the management, to the wrestlers and helpers. And with this in mind, it's been decided that in 2012, PTW will put personal gain aside completely, and exclusively only run shows where all profits will be going to chosen causes. Many are being projected and speculated on right now, but we can reveal that two of these will include the Teenage Cancer Trust, and Great Ormand Street Hospital; with more to be decided in the upcoming weeks and months.

We managed to get a quote from Petey Staniforth (PTW's "P.T. Player"), on the subject, which was as follows :

"Professional wrestling, is a difference maker. It brings people of all ages, and backgrounds together. We have the ability here to positively affect the lives of many people, and this is our time to do so. I have always been extremely proud of what we have been able to do in the past, and 2012 will be our time to give back, and help raise both awareness and much needed money for important causes. I'm tired of seeing selfish people, and egotism in the professional wrestling business. Now is our chance to do as much as we possibly can - and we're going to take it to a whole new level. I genuinely hope that people are as excited as we at Power Trip Wrestling are, about this project; and look forward to announcing the events and fundraising, in the weeks and months upcoming. And of course, nothing will change in regards to the shows, we will still be the country's loudest, and most fun live show to attend!"
