New England Championship Wrestling returns to live action on Sunday, October 23rd at the Irish-American Club, 177 West Street, Malden, MA with a 3 PM bell time for RISE. This is NECW's first event in the Boston area in nearly a year and a homecoming on a number of levels.
NECW’s RISE features a huge double main event, as the NECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Real Deal” Brandon Locke, defends his title against “The Infamous” Bobby Fish, who made his return to NECW last month.
In the second main event, current TNA star, Douglas Williams makes his return to NECW, where he made his American debut in 2000, to take on Matt Taven. This is Williams first independent appearance since joining TNA in 2008.
In addition, the NECW Tag Team Championship will be up for grabs, as champions Da Hoodz ("The Heat" Kris Pyro & Davey Cash) defend agsint the team of Rising Heat (Chris Neil & Nick Farenheight). Mistress Belmont battles Mercedes. Taka Suzuki squares off against Julian Starr and Sean Burke collides with Elia Markopoulous.
