STEELTOWN PRO NEWS BULLETIN (11/16/11)

PARADE OF LIGHTS FUNDRAISER – SPW returns to the Selkirk Memorial Hall to team up with the City of Selkirk for its annual Parade of Lights fundraiser on Saturday November 19th in Selkirk, Manitoba. Tickets are $12 at the door with a 7:00 PM bell time.  Advanced tickets are available at the Garry Theatre of Selkirk.

 

SELKIRK FOOD BANK COLLECTION – Steeltown Pro will be collecting non-perishable food and gently used clothing at the front door of the Selkirk Memorial Hall throughout the evening on November 19th.  All donations will be collected and given to the Selkirk Food Bank who assists in clothing and feeding the less fortunate, an especially important cause during the long cold winter months.

 

SELKIRK CHRISTMAS HAMPER DRIVE – SPW officials have donated a block of event tickets to the Selkirk Christmas Hamper Drive.  Event tickets will be included in each hamper that will be delivered to less fortunate families throughout the holiday season. SPW will also be accepting donations of unwrapped toys throughout the evening on November 19th that will be given to the Christmas Hamper Drive.

 

NOWHERE TO RUN II RESULTS – SPW presented Nowhere to Run II on Sunday November 13th.  Here are the results: SYKO, Son of Syko & Sydney Manson defeated Team 24/7 in 6-man tag team action; James Beaver defeated Chip Fletcher; “Misfit” Mike Mission & “Big Rig” Shawn Northstar defeated Big Cliff Corleone & Reggie Gallgher.  After the match Gallagher turned on Big Cliff effectively ending their tag team, Bad to the Bone; Jethro Hawg defeated Mr. Nasty; “Really Crazy” Rob Stardom defeated Leo London; “Wild Child” Jerin Rose defeated Kevy Chevy to retain the SPW Provincial Championship; Corey Diamond defeated Samuel; Spanky defeated Tommy Lee Curtis; La Sombra defeated Marius in a No Count-Outs match.


STEELTOWN PRO IN THE SELKIRK JOURNAL – Steeltown Pro Wrestling, with a picture of SPW Heavyweight Champion “Iron” Ike Idol, were featured in last week’s issue of the Selkirk Journal regarding the upcoming SPW City of Selkirk Parade of Lights Fundraiser.  The Selkirk Journal is distributed throughout the Manitoba Interlake region.

 

CHAMPION AVOIDING CHALLENGER? – After missing two scheduled title defences against the #1 contender many have begun to wonder if SPW Heavyweight Champion “Iron” Ike Idol has been avoiding his top challenger, La Sombra.  SteeltownProWrestling.ca has exclusive article looking at the situation and how La Sombra has been able to rise above it.

 

FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT – SPW presents the annual Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday December 4th at the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch 234 at 1335 Main Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

 

SPW RETURNS TO NOTRE-DAME – Steeltown Pro Wrestling returns to the Notre-Dame Centennial Hall in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba on Friday January 20th, 2012.  Tickets are $12 at the door with a 7:00 PM bell time.
