STEELTOWN PRO NEWS BULLETIN (11/23/11)
CHRISTMAS CATASTROPHE 3 – SPW presents Christmas Catastrophe 3: Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday December 3rd at the Royal Canadian at 1335 Main Street in Winnipeg. Tickets $12. Bell Time 7 PM. SPW will be collecting unwrapped toys, clothes and non-perishable food for the Christmas Hamper Drive. This will be SPW’s last show of 2011 so come out and celebrate!
FUNDARISING SUCCESS – Along with the City of Selkirk, SPW held a fundraising event on November 19th for the Parade of Lights. Steeltown Pro helped raise approximately $250 for the City of Selkirk Parade of Lights through ticket sales, a raffle and personal donations. Items such as non-perishable food, clothes and unwrapped toys were also collected by SPW and donated directly to the Selkirk Food Bank and the Christmas Hamper Drive.
NEW PROVINCIAL CHAMPION – After a record setting reign, “Wild Child” Jerin Rose was dethroned as SPW Provincial Champion by Mr. Nasty. Mr. Nasty is a graduate of the SPW Training Academy and has been rising through the ranks over the course of the last 2 years. Mr. Nasty joins a list of champions that includes current SPW Heavyweight Champion “Iron” Ike Idol, 2011 Red River Rumble & 2011 Kerry Brown Memorial Tournament Winner La Sombra, 2x SPW Tag Team Champion SYKO and the legendary Bushwhacker Luke!
SPW ANNOUNCES FIRST TOUR – For the first time in company history, Steeltown Pro is taking the show on the road for its first official tour. The tour will be 4 shows in 4 days throughout the Manitoba Interlake, Winnipeg and Pembina Valley regions! Rumour has it that this tour could feature the return of the Wild Women of SPW!
ROAD TO 100 – SPW officials have declared that a major goal in 2012 is to promote its 100th live event. Since April 2008, Steeltown Pro has promoted approximately 75 live events and celebrated its 50th live event in July 2010. Internally, SPW officials hope to reach #100 by July or August 2012.
01/20 - SPW @ NOTRE-DAME – Steeltown Pro returns to Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes on Friday January 20, 2012 at the Notre-Dame Centennial Hall (100 PR 244 HWY). Tickets $12. Bell Time 7 PM.
01/21 - SPW @ SELKIRK – Steeltown Pro returns to the Selkirk on Saturday January 21, 2012 at the Selkirk Memorial Hall (376 Jemima Street). Tickets $12. Bell Time 7 PM.
01/22 - SPW @ WINNIPEG – Steeltown Pro returns to Winnipeg on Sunday January 22, 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion (1335 Main Street). Tickets $12. Bell Time 7 PM.
