Scottish Championship Wrestling Relaunch and Announce Fans Community Initiative
Scottish Championship Wrestling wish to announce their relaunch. Having previously run a number of shows from 2002 to 2004, SCW is the home of the Scottish Heavyweight Championship and was the Promotion that gave Drew McIntyre of the WWE his professional debut. As part of the relaunch, SCW are proud to announce their commitment to develop the promotion as a Fans Community promotion. This will see fans voting on venues, wrestlers being booked, matches, stipulations and other aspects along with also electing members of the community to positions within the promotion itself.
"This is the first time this has been tried in professional wrestling and, as such, will be very much driven by the fans themselves prior to being fully launched. There will be a fee for membership, but as with everything else this is very much open for discussion and a level is yet to be set." Kenny Morrison.
The main vision for SCW will be to develop the community local to any event held, work as a fundraising vehicle for Charities and to allow wrestling fans worldwide a very unique experience of being involved in every aspect of the promotion's activities outside of the ring.
