AZW closed out 2011 with a huge show at the FilCom Center in Waipahu. "Battleclash VII" was an energetic show capped off by a double main event with title implications.

In the first of two double main event, El Generico made his AZW (and Hawaii) debut defending his DDT Pro Extreme Division Title against one of Hawaii's all time best in Kaimana. This match was fought under traditional rules and it was a hard fought match that saw the champion El Generico retain following a top rope brainbuster onto the top turnbuckle. Generico was a big hit with the AZW fans, who also showed great support for their guy Kaimana as well.

In the main event AZW Heavyweight Champion "Mr. Athletic" Jeff Cobb defended the title against former champion Kris Kavanaugh. This was a first time meeting between the two and it was a close contest. Kavanaugh pulled out some of his old dirty tricks to try and secure the win but in the end it was Cobb who got the win to retain the title. The end came when Kavanaugh hit a german suplex with a bridge both men had shoulders down but it was Cobb who got the shoulder up to win. Cobb offered Kavanaugh a rematch which Kavanaugh excepted.
