INJURY FORCES JUSTIN EDWARDS OUT OF UFC 143

As originally reported by FightCove.com, preliminary card fighter Justin Edwards has suffered an injury and has been forced to drop out of a planned bout with Stephen Thompson at UFC 143. Set to replace Edwards is UFC newcomer, Dan Stittgen.

An accomplished kickboxer, the undefeated Thompson (5-0) was originally tapped as a late notice replacement for Mike Stumpf. He now finds himself facing an opponent given even shorter notice. Stittgen (7-1), a fighter on the midwest circuit, has suffered only one defeat in his career, coming at the hands of the fighter he is replacing, Justin Edwards.

UFC 143: Diaz vs Condit takes place on February 4th, 2012.
