As MMAFighting.com first reported, the son of Legendary UFC fighters Randy Couture, Ryan, will return to the Strikeforce cage to take on Conor Heun. Heun (9-4) most recently competed at Strikeforce: Overeem vs Werdum in June, defeating Magno Almeida via unanimous decision.
Heun, however, suffered an injury to his arm that kept him out of action for several months.
The 29 year old Couture (3-1) has fought all of his professional bouts on Strikeforce: Challengers cards, picking up his most recent win against Maka Watson via majority decision during the 19th installment of the now defunct fighting series in September.
This bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card.
